Dear user, according to CE law, PMR446 is fixed 0.5W radio and could not change the frequency and it`s license-free, if you want to change, you need to buy 2W CE professional version, it could change the frequency, thanks and sorry for that.

Yup, AM is bad since it is AM by emulation.

Can be used with cross-band repeater, or using only through radio cross-band intercom. First: When A Radio TX UHF band, RX VHF band, when B Radio TX VHF band, you can use B Radio to call A Radio. In this way, A Radio can TX U n RX V cross-band. Second: You can set for both Radio A n Radio B using same TX n RX frequency, but TX n RX frequency one for UHF and another for VHF. For example, you set 450.250 TX, offset frequency 300.000 through Menu 8, offset direction -, same for A n B Radio, then you set A Radio`s reverse function using F n 8 fast key. Then you can cross-band intercom.

@@northwales1000 I downloaded the software and programmed my radio with the software on an old Windows XP machine not connected to the internet. Not sure what you believe they are "scamming," or what info you believe they are "stealing."

@@northwales1000 Website checks out on all malware databases as "safe" and Google Chrome (usually the first indicator of a scam/steal site) has not thrown any errors. I was able to download their software with NO personal information provided, and it did not contain a virus or malware. I'm not sure why you think it's a scam, but I'd check your facts first or provide some evidence. All information to date indicates it's legit.

@@RisingTidesAC Yes, we have other version excluding FRS version. You can write email to: fay@qsfj.com If you want to try our TG-S1 other version, we can send you 2 free samples. But to be honest, our TG-S1 is not very powerful, our new amateur radio UV-K5 is powerful and cheap and hot recently.

In the Power-off state, press the PTT key and the side key 2 at the same time to power-on the radio. The other radio should be powered-on in the same way. Press EXIT key for the receiving radio, and press M key for the transmitting radio. Wait for 2 minutes for the screen to show number 120, and then shut down and power-on the radio again, transmission completed.
