The 42-year-old silhouette has stomped its way to the top of Nike’s lifestyle category as a budget-friendly, versatile style that has been remixed in countless ways. While it may be a familiar shape, the Swoosh continues to reimagine it with upcoming drops including a “Halloween” pair with a skull-shaped toe box, a “Year of the Snake” pair that celebrates the upcoming Lunar New Year and even a new skate-oriented version of the model: the Air Force 1 SK8. As the sneaker remains a focal point in the sneaker world, it has now been spotted in a new carbon fiber construction. The upper is wrapped entirely in the stiff material. Carbon fiber normally used in race cars, spacecraft or high end sport equipment bcz of lightweight and ultra strong properties. Rarely used in shoes. This is't the first time that nike has used carbon fiber on an AF1: In 2022, It released a similar black colored AF1 shoe though the woven carbon fiber was only featured on the nike swoosh. This time nike dressed the sneaker tip to toe in the cutting edge material.
The shoes features a sleek all black upper crafted with a carbon fiber inspired design. AF1 lace dubrace with black flat laces, Nike air tongue tags, Black sock lining, Black Insole with Nike air branding & Similar Nike air branding t heel tab. Air sole unit for cushioning with black midsole and outsole.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced when this carbon fiber-equipped take on the all-black Air Force 1 Low will be dropping. Iit’s likely to land on shelves soon via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a currently unknown price point.
