Were did you guys get your Harris birds from?

I remember Ted Mann and I was talking before he passed away he was shocked I had brothers and sisters to his breeders but also a few of there parents if you dont work down the young off a family for 3 generations switching mates you will never find the good ones. There is no microwave family you have to put the hard work in to the birds to find the good ones no matter if you cross or if you keep them pure in a family after I got out of the rollers and switched over to racing pigeons I went with the Houben family it took me a few years to find the best in them

Crossing can work very well as long as you bring back in the best birds that work with your main family on the breaks quality speed some depth we all want but with out team work with big breaks nothing else matters

Keith to get your birds to gel together try and breed them in a close family not inbred but line bred the English/SA birds do much better that way a lot of other families will fly to high or to fast and it will make your kits fly threw the breaks I am no great flier I am just letting you know what I have seen here with them
