Thank you ❤
you made this soo simple thank you so much i wish i would of found this sooner
Thank god the Figma acquisition didn't happen, it's been over a decade and this feature hasn't been added.
I'm with you there.
I seem to be having some trouble using the Scribble effect. When I use, there is no more fill, and the effect causes lines and gaps between them throughout the shape. Do you know what I am doing wrong or missing?
Thanks! This is honestly one of the best tutorials out there. Very well-organized and clearly communicated step-by-step walkthrough which made it very easy to follow. I also love how you gave tutorial outline at the beginning! Hardly anyone does that but it makes a big difference in being able to follow the walk-through.
Thank you! Great lesson! Could you record a sequel to the video? How to draw clouds?
Sure! I'd love to make a follow up video.
This is amazing!@@startupdesign
Good one. Thank you for the video! Maybe you know a simpler way to build a font from svg icons? Of course, it's possible to set all the letters in icomoon and use it as a font. Is this the shortest way you probably know?
There are platforms that do it quicker, but also cost more money. Sometimes it's finding that balance!
"It tends to crash" he said as my Illustrator crashed
I have this thing and maybe it's old school but I'm afraid of using anything that's not vector in Illustrator, and sure you can image trace it but it won't look the same and/or add too many points
If you use scribble, you can expand it. Lately I've been using brushes to add texture. I think my follow up video to this will be creating them for texture.
haha thank you so much this just saved me like an hour of unnecessary hard labor
Thank You so much for this video! Lifesaver. Could you please post a tutorial on how you set up the Figma font/text styles for branding?
Absolutely!
no working auto resize rectangle with cta text.... I do as in the video and it does not work for me, the rectangle does not extend with the text. Why? Not working with component text element but with normal text + rectangle is work good.... WTF?
Figma updated it where that no longer works. You need to either create a frame then add text and add auto layout or type text, cmd or Ctrl g to group, and then hit auto layout. I actually like the update better than the old method.
did something change in figma? the rectangle + auto layout components are not compiling into new auto layout frame? this is wack yo did it step by step with the video and doesnt work like at all :D
solution -> create a manual frame and then put CTA asset into the frame that was created. rectangles don't work like that no more.
Correct! Figma updated it where that no longer works. You need to either create a frame then add text and add auto layout or type text, cmd or Ctrl g to group, and then hit auto layout. I actually like the update better than the old method.
This works. Using option 2 to wrap up an Illustrator file so I can send it to my client and it's pretty easy!
Plus, if anyone looks at your illustrator file, it looks extra sharp.
Very entertaining and informative video!
Thank you Noah!
Impressive! Surprised to see this amount of views. Good tutorial and very clear audio as well!
it's crazy that Illustrator doesn't propose a more intutive one-off option for this!! For a tool that's based on artboards, don't disposing the option to cut out everything that exceeds with one click... is CRAZY
Very Useful video! I would like to know how you organize your library. Do you have the font combination already paired? Very Clever!
Loving your direct and clear teaching technique! Sub'd. Thank you!
thanks so much for this. Funny how something so simple gave me hours of headache
Is there anyway to change the size of the dots not necessarily the intensity or contrast but the size of each individual dot in the grain?
2nd one doesnt work do they need to be on same layer?
ρɾσɱσʂɱ
any advice? cant seem to get rid of the centre line showing where the two shapes' scribbles overlap
You could try adding a feather to the shape. Let me know if you still have a problem.
Thanks mate
This was just awesome! Thanks a lot!
Keep trying

This video helped me a lot... Thanks
Very useful video!
super nice. i missed the "copy in place" so struggled a bit but finally got it thanks.
Okay so it wasn't really clear to me what you did with the gradient. Did you duplicate the layers, and then ad the grain to as new, duplicated object?
good video liked it but it would be great if you would shown how to complete art shown during start of video
Thanks for the feedback Bibek! I'll do that next time!
Packiging please
