I have UMFE, but when using 2 players (2nd controller) does not work the same as the 1st controller/player. The x button does not work for the 2nd player/controller. Any suggestions? (I don't think there's an issue with the controller itself, but with the game set up, perhaps)

So Double Dragon 5 comes before 4 even though Super Double Dragon was part 4? Doesn’t make sense.

Yeah...of course K.O.D is unsure in his posture. Before he became a Heel wrestler he was a proud Face wrestler and still wants to BE that Face but until he gets his runback and wins he feels he HAS to be this "Evil" version of himself to protect that hero of justice version of himself....and sometimes forgets he's a Heel and slips back into talking like his Face persona. Honestly I'd be happy to see a "King" and "Armor King" kind of set up after City of the Wolves...in KOF 16 Tizoc/Griffon Mask could come back but someone else who really liked K.O.D would take it over to become his rival and have a similar but different moveset that has it's own twist on K.O.D's moves...which were all just "Evil" versions of his original moves. "Super Zetusmetsu Hurricane" was his version of "Big Fall Griffon" and "Justice Hurricane"..."Dinner of Dinosaur" was an 'Evil' version of "Daedalus Attack" really the only OG super moves he has as "K.O.D" are Tyra Mosa Dread Carno Gaoh!" (up there with Ramon's Climax Super as the worst I've ever seen) and "Spiral Arm Excavation" (a MUCH better Climax super imo)....I say they could bring back Raiden/Big Bear as "K.O.D" for a new Heel persona instead of Raiden and he could still have his Face persona of Big Bear. He has more experience as a Heel wrestler and thus could be the Heel rival that Tizoc needs.

Eu gosto da KOF 98 UM de PS2 porque é a unica versão da Ultimate Match com cenários 3D. Todos os ports feitos depois tiraram isso, não sei porque. Inclusive, uma coisa legal que voce pode fazer é comparar esses cenários 3D da UM com a KOF 1999 de DC. Ambas são baseadas na KOF 98 original, e ambas tem cenários 3D, mas os dois são diferentes entre si.

Yes, we all know that this game and Bad Dudes / Dragonninja are AWFUL games! cheap, tough, poor hit detection here at times, traps that are just CHEAP and no fun at all. That said, I love the campy cheesy style...it''s hilarious. Most of all: I have respect for anyone that has the patience, the nerve and the love of videogames to suffer through this, try to beat it and stick through it. - BRAVO! thanks!!

For important and serious matters I don't like and approve of this love story and I don't like where this is going and I don't like the craziness of Joe Higashi being a stalker and predator and stalking teenage girls especially Lilly Kane. Joe Higashi is also a man-child and he doesn't even know women his age either. Anyway even though Billy Kane the overprotective older brother of his young sister he was an antagonist working for villain Geese Howard he was also a fearless man doing his job taking care of his sister Lilly Kane and protecting her from Joe Higashi and he won't be getting near Lilly Kane while Billy Kane is around. No matter what Joe Higashi does or where he goes Billy Kane will hunt him down and take him down hard and Billy Kane isn't even creeped out by Joe Higashi's craziness. This time Billy Kane has gone good and then he learns that Joe Higashi has been sneaking around him and when Joe Higashi plans to date Lilly Kane she cancals the movie plan to visit her friend at the hospital alongside the rest of her friends and she sends the message to her brother Billy Kane to track Joe Higashi down. Billy Kane finds Joe Higashi and destroys the phone when he finds out that Joe Higashi has been calling his young sister Lilly Kane and brutally beats the living hell out of him and he ends up in the hospital brutally injured which will take him 1 or 2 months to recover and Billy Kane goes back to protecting his young sister from the predator and stalker Joe Higashi. Joe Higashi and Lilly Kane being a couple will never happen, he's too old for her, and he's not her type. Joe Higashi better stop this craziness or else it will alert the police and he will be doing serious jail time and he's too old to be dating Lilly Kane and she's 16 and she's a minor which is wrong and illegal. Besides if Joe Higashi wants to get a date and girlfriend that somebody should be Bonne Jenet and Lilly Kane and Chris would be good for each other due to being close to each other's age which would be a good crack ship which would get Joe Higashi to stop stalking Lilly Kane. I'm gonna apply for and sign up for a Studio and make a new King of Fighters game and put an end to this craziness and make new couples Joe Higashi X Bonne Jenet and Lilly X Chris.

ACA NeoGeo is the cheapest snd best. It looks the best with all its graphic, screen display options but far more games options. Animation seems better too. Also the Neo Geo optiond on the UMFE and Orchi versions are largely limited or missing.

3D stages look cool and all but the fact that KOF 98 UM has input delay and is censored because there is no 🩸🩸makes it kinda disappointing. However the fact that KOF 98 UM lets you swap between 2D and 3D stages makes up for it in a way.

Id say you should buy both kof 98 um and kof orochi saga collection. But you should only buy um version if you are only looking for kof 98 not the other games.

Update: I got a PS5 and got the PS4 version of KOF 98 UM FE. The only two SNK PS2 Classics I'm gonna get is Samurai Shodown 6 and Metal Slug Anthology for Metal Slug 6 because they are the only way to play those games on PS5. Am planning to get the ACA versions of '94 - '96, '99, 2000, 2001, 2003, XIII Global Match and XV. Don't need to ACA versions of '97 because I got Global Match and same goes for Metal Slug 3, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection and V Special and Last Blade 2. But is it still worth it to get the ACA vanilla '98 and 2002?

What about Xbox Series X? Will I be okay with the XBLA port of 98 UM? I would get the original arcade version if they made a KOF collection just like they did with SamSho. Same goes for other series like Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting and Metal Slug.

Too much satisfing 2:12 XIV and XV look like a games for kids compared to the old KOF.. no blood, less violence, slow 3D animations and clothes looks stiff

I don't know if it's just me but I've always liked the spikes effect for Raging Storm more for Geese. The Wind effect still looks cool but I feel it fits Rock more. The spikes shows Geese's pure evil and power. While Rock's I like to think shows how even though he is the son of Geese, he denies his origins and evil father thus it's not as violent looking but still powerful.

I much rather prefer her in Garou. The sprites from that game are gorgeous, and her voice actor really gives off a very different vibe.
