Crop protection is a very necessary activity as certain times of year. This was a very windy day with alot of pigeons wanting to dig out the freshly drilled peas. They will continue to take from this crop for its duration. Every stage of a pea plant is a delicacy for pigeons.

This was the first fish of my 2024 trip. It was an extremly strong fish which took off into the middle of the river jumping. As we got it under control, river dophins circled sensing an opportunity for easy prey.

Going up to Sautso is always a bit of an effort… until you get there and then it is utterly spectacular. We had four fish this night and lost a few as you will see. Just mucking about in boats - it is a wonder we catch any fish but we have fun and that is what it is all about!

Best way to kill a heavy fish the way you were holding it up. Hand right under the heart taking all the weight. Still you got a good photo which is more important than the fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely an Atlanta salmon!
No idea why you call it a trout but here in Norway we call them salmon. Trout has a different appearance. Still, it's a deacent fish so good stuff:)
