Although the album was a tribute to Grim, this song in particular was made as a Burzum tribute. I remember Infernus saying so in an interview on Norwegian Radio back in the day.
...come on people. This is obviously an intentional tribute to Det Som Engang Var... not a ripoff... good lord people... use both halves of your brain please.
Infernus says that the "Det som engang var" song is the best black metal song.
