The new Gleaner T series launch, updates, info, test drive and toys! T61 T71 T81 8/14-15/2024
Welcome to the Gleaner T series. There are a couple updates from the S series that are really good. The new cvt transmission and how the shields operate now. The moving of the hydraulic filters is a nice addition as well. There are lots of other little updates. Gleaner is taking the already great machine and doing things to make the servicing and reliability of these machines even better. We were also able to drive the machines to test out the transmission and electronic diff lock. If you pull up on the button on the back of the handle the unit will go forward or reverse. You only have to do that to get out of neutral. then you can nudge the handle or push to change the speed. You can also hold the handle to the right for 3 seconds to engage your cv1 or cv2 set speeds. You can also cycle through them on the back of the handle. Speccast also had the new preproduction of the combine and semi as well. Early 2025 is the ETA for them. I hope you enjoyed the video.

Everybody bitching about Gleaner not getting a bigger class combine In capacity size. Well , they have more or less. Do you want a class ten go get a Fente. Seven or eight class get a T71 or T81 Gleaner. After all, there are only so many farmers that can afford that damn big of a combine.

Great looking combine. I don't understand why everyone complains about not enough automation or not getting big enough. Ever think some people don't want automation or a huge combine that can't get into smaller fields? I guess some people like getting screwed over by a fully automated combine. I think it would be smart of Agco to continue gleaners because they will be appealing to small and medium size farms.

The farmers where I'm from wouldn't go for a Gleaner cause it's just a big "keep up with the Jones" area here. And they say farmers work so hard, equipment that drives itself, planting with no markers, and start their pivots from their phone, yeah that's really hard work. When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's, yeah farmers worked hard.

@@FreeloaderFarms I agree. That crap all adds extra costs and not just a little. Plus people on the internet just love to complain about everything. What I love is oh they haven't done enough. Exactly, we run dual Gleaner combines (kinda rare actually) Dads Painted R72 was the very first one off the line in 1998 for the 75th Anniversary, and my 1994 R62 is the only year with the Twin Turbo Duetz Air Cooled V8. We also have an L2 and L3 when we want to bale straw, along with our old retired R7 and R70 for parts. There are quite a few Gleaners in the top of North Dakota where I live, and I catch crap from Deere, Case, Claas, and New Holland guys constantly. Why do they need automation? Nobody has done a good job with it. The CNH combines throw grain loss and quality out the window for speed. Gleaner prides on sample and loss so until there is a good system why fix what isn't broke. Also it costs an extra 60k on CNH machines.

So this particular gon is part of the wreck train, the A end with the ties I think was done to accommodate the boom of a crane and to handle longer items than the car which an idler car would have been needed. I would have to check archives but I do believe the original brake wheel was replaced sometime in the last 20 or so years. A few of the 138xx has information about the new brake handles on the cars denoting when they were installed near the lube dates.
