Project FJ62 - Ep 4: Locker Install and a Special Announcement
It has been a several weeks since my last video. After my transmission install did not go as planned, I took a pause to recollect and consider my options. I have now decided to push on forward with a 4 speed conversion, and I sourced one from Jim of TLC performance in Lancaster, OH, which is only a little less than 2 hours from my home in Dayton.
I've been holding onto some footage from my locker & differential install so I've included it in this video, in addition to announcing my plans for the transmission. I hope you enjoy!

Suspension Travel Test

Testing the new bump stops, and suspension travel. This test worked pretty well, as I took this speed bump pretty fast, and I learned two things: 1. The shocks have a good rebound rate since the wheels didn't lose contact with the ground. 2. The spring rate is just stiff enough to almost allow the control arm to hit the bump stomp, and there is a good amount of travel.
