I can concur with you. The tuba should sound full and resonant almost like a bass playing pizzicato instead of a sick old hippo burping and 🐘farting the entire time.

Wasnt expecting the jazzy bluesy portion at all! Sounds glorious, although holy crap the accelerando at the end is insane! I wish i was even close to good enough to play something like this for a live audience 😂
The notes at 6:16-6:22 were added in by Buzbee and are played an octave below what is shown in the video.
