Hi Al, thank you for your videos. I purchased a second battery because I needed to ride over 50 miles a day, doing deliveries. I tested the battery in the bike originally but just in my large driveway. Well today I rode a lot and needed the second battery to get home and when I installed it, and started to pedal, I immediately got a E31 Battery Communication Error on the screen and couldn’t use it! Already got a rear flat this morning and then rode back to the bike shop a 2nd time to return some other equipment. Didn’t think they wanted to hear from me a 3rd time today! So I’m looking online to get some answers before I call them tomorrow. Happy riding!

I own the same ebike. I will never purchase another Aventon, I’ve had too many battery issues.

Thanks, I was wondering how this went together.

I didn't use a card to hold the button in place. Before doing anything else, I stuck a piece of Scotch tape over the button to hold it in place, which works for removing and replacing the cover.

Hey what’s up hope you’re doing good like the video was wondering did your bike shut off on you while you were riding or did it turn off right after you turned it on?.. my bike sat for a while and I think that’s why I am having issues …I believe it’s my battery an everything works fine up until I get to about 60 to 50% on the battery then everything will just turn off on me while I’m riding…. I feel like I didn’t take care of the battery the right way … I would just charge it go riding and then not worry about anything like that and from what I’m seeing I should have been a little more on it even if I wasn’t riding it at the moment … do you think it could be the battery? It gave me a code, but I didn’t think to take a picture or remember it at all and after that, it never gives me a code

so what was actually the issue with the first battery? I know someone who is having what I believe to be the same issue but they're the second owner meaning not under warranty.

This is awesome. Thanks! I didn't want to break anything, and could not figure out what the cover was hung up. My brand new Aventure had a damaged button on the battery, and the battery wouldn't work. I finally received the replacement battery, and didn't want to break anything. Now it works perfect, and I can finally ride my new bike.

What does blinking green mean on the battery? Can’t find answer anywhere
