Sojourn Expedition
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 2 มิ.ย. 2023
We are venturing through the United States and visiting its most beautiful locations. We hike, camp and explore everything in sight, and we love doing it! We also make information rich videos to help others to plan their adventures.
INCREDIBLE Trails, Views and Wildlife in Zion National Park
In this episode of the Sojourn Expedition, we explore each district of Zion National Park including Zion Canyon, East Zion, Kolob Terrace and Kolob Canyons. We saw some of Zion's best wildlife with California Condors and Bighorn sheep along the trails. We also took on Zion's best hikes including Angels Landing, the Subway and the Narrows.

This is a fantastic video! I love it! This is my home state and I love Ga.♥️ Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thank you so much! We love it too!
Thank you excellent.
Thank you!
Utah is amazing. The landscape and formations are breathtaking. We can hardly wait to take our next road trip there. Thanks for sharing these great impressions. 👍👍
Yeah, Utah has been so much fun! The parks, the canyons and little towns were so unique.
If you hike a little past Melody Arch, you'll find the the Big Mac just over the pass and to the south. Out of all the hamburger rocks in North and South Coyote Buttes, this is by far the best one. It's incredible how perfect it is. Like someone sculpted it to look like a Big Mac. It's definitely worth the extra 10 minutes of hiking past Melody Arch.
Good to know! Thanks for watching!
How long was the hike?
On the way down, South Kaibab was around 8. On the way up, Bright Angel was around 9.5 miles from the Phantom Ranch
Georgia produced and elected MTG - I'll stay as far away from there as I can.
Thanks for watching!
love MTG she is for the USA not against it
Well done video. music choices were spot on. I live just below Rome, Georgia. I enjoyed the content about Rome and the State Parks. Good job.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Wow !! What contrast to your previous trip 👏😀👍 I love remote places like Grand Canyon cavern. I am not saying I want to live there but certainly would like to make an overnight stay !! The pet dogs were cute, wonder where did they come from. They had tags so I assume they are pets but in the middle of no where 🤷♂️😱 I find it very difficult to find info about this place. But I am collecting them in bits and pieces. I don’t think I can do the hike since I am taking a lodge, as much as I would like to hike but carrying my stuff makes it harder. Thanks for the video and the website to find the info. 🙏👍✋
Yes, this trip was much better! The dogs follow the pack mules up and down the canyon. Thank again for watching!
So sorry and sad to see you return without taking the colorful hikes. Better luck next time 👍 Did you check the weather before you left ? The water color was quite the opposite of what one sees on the videos. You must have very disappointed to spend so much effort and money and return without seeing the Mooney and beaver falls. But I admire your sporting spirit and returned with a positive attitude 😄👏✌️
We checked the weather when we snagged the cancelation, but weather can change quickly in northern Arizona. We tried to keep a good attitude, but it was a little frustrating. Although, we did make our way back later that year, and it was gorgeous. I'll link the video below! Thanks for watching! th-cam.com/video/XETea3Eht90/w-d-xo.html
I noted that going back up on the South Kaibab trail has less elevation gain than going up via Bright Angel. Just sharing. Thanks for this video. I am hoping to do this adventure to Phantom Ranch one day!
Thanks for watching! South Kaibab is very steep, and there is no water access. Bright Angel has water spigots and a smaller grade on the way out. We liked having water access!
I entered the Phantom Ranch lottery for June 2025, so hoping I get it 🙏🏽
Good luck, hope you win!
Unfortunately for you guys, Mother Nature had different plans. So hopefully you guys will try again? Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! We did try again, and it was gorgeous! We posted the video to the channel!
Hey! I love your video styles and your vlog. Can I ask you what editing app or software you use? And camera setup? We are new in vlogging and would love any tips or tricks you have. Thanks 😊
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching! We use Final Cut, but Da Vinci is the way to go. We’re just working on getting our old files transferred to Da Vinci. We also shoot with Canon Mirrorless cameras. In regards to style, we’ve been shooting for a long time and developed our style over time. The best advice is to be critical. If you make a video, critique it (within reason), so you can make the next video better.
Nice video brah, but do you know how can you tell a city boy from a country boy? A city boy will let a squirrel sit in his lap! They carry typhus and bubonic plague and can bite you know. LOL
We swatted him away pretty quickly after that shot! Lol Thanks for watching!
My husband and I have booked a house for the month of August. Has a private pool. Can't wait. Looking forward to trying some of these food places.
Awesome! It’s a great place to explore! The guy who owns Peter’s Pizza in Port St Joe was on the bachelorette. Lol
I just came back from Havasupai yesterday. Been both times in end of march and never had an issue, sorry to hear about your experience
Thank you so much! We made it back a second time and it was gorgeous, thanks for watching!

What a great video, with steady, interesting shots and an interesting narrative. TH-cam should give you much more play than they do. But great job and an interesting account of your stay at Phantom Ranch! Thanks for the video! 🥾
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, it was the very end of October
amazing, a great look at my Oct 26th - 29th slot!@@Sojourn.Expedition
I am booked for late October, fingers crossed for blue water!
October is a little cooler, but the weather is normally better. This trip was in late March.
Cool video. Safe travels.
Thanks you and thanks for watching!
Damn that sucks. I’ve hiked to the confluence big and little Colorado rivers, I would of been pissed if the little Colorado was that blue color
Yeah, we weren’t happy, but it made our second trip that much sweeter! Lol
I like this video very cool very interesting, have you guys ever been to St. George, Utah?? there are a lot of hikes to do there and i recommend you guys going there on your next video!!
We absolutely love Southern Utah and St. George. We have been working our way through Zion for a couple months. We stayed in Cedar City for a bit, so we could explore Kolob and Cedar Breaks. Are there any specific hikes that you'd recommend? All of it is so beautiful! There will definitely be a few videos about Southern Utah.
@@Sojourn.Expedition there is this hike called kanarra falls and its near cedar city and you go through this beautiful slot canyon and its a really good place to take pictures and there is coral pink sand dunes that i recommend to go check that out, there's this mountain called pine valley and there's this hike on it called signal peak and the elevation gain on it is 9,300 feet elevation and you get a really awesome view of St. George and Zion and my friend said that you can see las Vegas from up there and the last place i recommend is Pine Valley reservoir, its in a very remote area, its quiet and its a really good place to go fishing at.
Awesome! We'll check it out, thanks in advance!@@Outdoorseeker1
@@Sojourn.Expedition Ya, just let me know what else you want to know about southern utah
Our second trip to Havasupai went better than our first! Watch it here - th-cam.com/video/XETea3Eht90/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lE-IgZk4feYHwmg3
Hi! When did you go?
March of 2023
@@Sojourn.Expedition omg that is not Evan monsoon season! I’m going in the last week of April I hope it doesn’t look like that. Thank you
We were surprised too! Lol We wish you the best!
Nice! There is not greater force that shapes our planet than water and it was evident here. Really wonderful.
So true! Thanks for watching!
You two are darling and do a nice job on your channel. Cheers from FL emerald coast!

Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Great travel videos!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
What is the best month to visit Arizona
For Northern Arizona, I prefer October and November before the snow. For southern Arizona, I’d say January, February and March. You might have to navigate some snow, but at least you don’t have to deal with Arizona’s summer heat.
Sedona is so beautiful!
Nice video very informative We have been to almost every single park you mentioned By the way new subscribers
North Georgia has such great parks! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!
Question? What do you do with your dogs when you hike?
Great question! It depends on the hike. We take them hiking whenever we can, but National Parks and National Monuments don’t allow it. In those situations they stay in the bus (with AC if needed). We also have a monitoring system to keep an eye on things while we are gone. When we went to Havasupai we used the Rover app and found an amazing dog sitter. The price was reasonable too! When we hiked to the Phantom Ranch we used a dog boarding facility at our RV park. We also run them a round and wear them out before we leave.
@SojournTravels that's awesome!! My husband and I are planning on going out there but we have a french bulldog so that's why I asked. GReat video I love az I lived out there before and everyday I wake up regretting come back to east coast..our plan is to get RV and just go...love your channel. Thank you
Great Trip!!!
Thank you and thanks for watching!

I live in Cherokee on the mtn going towards Maggie valley, and glad to see you guys had a fun trip, there isn’t much to do in Cherokee or Bryson..a lot of kids around the reservation area want more to do than just movies hay rides and and bowling at the casino, but other than that, glad you two proved there’s more to do here than just that
