I’ve been buying DeLong eggs at my local grocery store as I haven’t found a source nearby yet that I can walk to (no car) that raises farm fresh free range eggs… eating their natural omnivore diet. I see these chickens are in pens. At least not on top of each other. Wondering if they are only fed plant foods or do they get bugs etc as well?

My mom used to make them with corn syrup. We are from Quebec City. They were very Sweet but soooo good. The recipe came from a cookbook from kraft I think.
