3rd Batt. 7th Marines ChuLai,RVN 10/65-11/66
Well this is eary
This prison is haunted. Did you know that? 😊
I'm sure there's a lot of relics in this lake.
That War shouldn't had happen and all those soldiers shouldn't had to die. And it all started with LB Johnson declare US military action to Vietnam after JF Kennedy order his CIA to stage a military coup assassination on a Catholic South Vietnamese President, Ngô Đình Diệm and his younger brother, Ngô Đình Nhu on Nov 2, 1963. All this was happening during the Civil Rights movement between black and whites in America.
Please, name of soldier Who was shot by VC At top of Hamburger Hill Ambushed. Soldiers returned fire Killing VC One soldier loses 3 or 4 Fingers? Please name this person.
I can't go to Hamburger Hill because the VC are still hiding in the woods
What a waste of young lives for simply nothing, all for USA political glory
I went to hamburger hill in may 1996 Vietnam had just started opening its doors to foreigners ,there was still lots of relics from the war and the thing i noticed the most at hamburger hill was the peacefulness,i think it was so amplified because of what had gone on 27 years earlier ,The U S, MIA unit had been digging there recently, you could see all the trenches they had dug looking for there MIA,s . Good bless all who fought and died on that lonely hill in the A shau valley Vietnam.
937
more of a gentle incline than a hill no?
why does that zippe/rhead at 5:30 have a piece of blue paper on his face?!?!
Its a mask for covid
Listen to the sound of that jungle.. that must be so triggering to Vietnam vets. That’s all they heard all day long.
I visited this site in April 2023 with a tour guide and one of the local militiamen. The monument you see in this video is at Hill 900. From this monument it's a short hike (~500 meters my guesstimate) over to Hill 937. From Hill 937 you take another trail to reach a spot which was the Command Post site for Delta Company 3/187th. Between the Delta Company site and Hill 937 we found a dinner plate sized piece of helicopter fuselage. There were several bomb craters on the hill. The whole area is really thick with elephant grass, bamboo, and trees. From the bottom of the stairs (where you park the car) up to Hill 900 then over to Hill 937 then to the Company D CP site and back all the way to the car was a 3 hour hike. It's not for anyone out of shape, for sure. Of course, we had no heavy loads, no rain, no mud, and no unfriendlies along the way and it was still lots of "cardio" for the three of us. The UXO along the trail has been cleared, but it is still dangerous to go off any of the trails.
Apachesnow !! Real name of this operation! Fact I was there! New Mexico combat Marine ! Semper Fi !!
Thank you for your service, sir.
Hello where i can find or contact the family of one of Vietnam war soldier thanks
The big difference is that with all of the bombing and napalm thrown, there was mostly mud and splintered wood. The soldiers would climb the hill by digging their heels in the mud to push themselves up. If they lost all of their footing, they would slide down helplessly while exposing themselves to hostile fire.
I can't imagine how horrific it must have been fighting and trying to survive in those conditions. I have the utmost respect for Vietnam veterans. I salute all of you. RIP to all that were lost.
How these people has no bitterness toward America imperialism is incredible
Strange to see that group photo of all the guys being one unit, and their country divided AF, and no support when they got home.
Funded by the US. Seems like the US funds everything in the world.
So much life in the jungle shame so many died for nothing.
Mảnh đất nhỏ nhiều ác mộng của người Mỹ
Rip to all of our American soldiers who we lost ro this senseless war we had no business getting involved with .
I think that more than the 1 tree was destroyed during the battle!
Hi, could you tell me what tour company you used? This tour looks awesome
What was the cost for this trip?
Hooah semperfi
Weak! Best of luck!
Imagine fighting in that shit
Noise in the jungle,wow 🚬☠️🐓
yeah, know this hill from rs2 video game. pretty sad story though.
is this a tour tourist can take out of Hue?
change the name of this video to THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. get a better camera and learn to shoot on the move. holy sht
I am excited...yet sad...for my upcoming trip there. Nice video. Thank you.
Thank you so much for bringing this great content. The sad part about it is that the US government just wastes our heroes and tax dollars for nothing. They take the hill just to leave it and then in the end we just walk away from it all just like in Afghanistan. What a waste! Thank you for showing us this.
Extremely interesting video.
Appreciate the tour. Let's leave the ShakyCam back at the hotel next time. 😉
Let's see you hump through the jungle, uphill carrying any kind of equipment. I say dude did just fine.
During the fighting that place was bare and looked like a moon scape. It’s amazing how the jungle reclaim’s itself. It’s all grown bad now.
reclaims with an apostrophe??? What the F?
Your guide’s name is Charlie Cong ? 😜🤪🤔
Looks much different than when I was there. To make the experience more exciting, they need some "bad guys" firing blank rounds at you as you near the top.
Have any stories to share?
I have never understood why people want to go back to battle sites where friends died, and there was so much pain and anguish. I served but have absolutely 100% no desire to ever go back over there where I was
Sir I salute you. Thank you for your service to all of us. For some people it might be an act of closure or part of a person's tragic history. Think of why so many people travel to Deahly plaza - it does something for the mind for them. You chose a different way and it works for you. I wish you the best -from a younger veteran.
Did you serve in Vietnam?
Same here !!! I'm perfectly fine never seeing afghanistan or Iraq again. I did my time !!!
Would you mind let me know who were the other guys? Support or monitoring you? When I was off the road which was through a jungle in Lam Dong, some soldiers appeared and told me to go, because there are some endangered trees that need special protection, I looked up and that's true; Have not been stopped by any case of security problem, onced I accidentally drived into a military area where they running back and forth, like PE, and just drived out. I'm curious to know if foreigners got further problems, if any.
Disappointing: I was hoping to see lots of relics on the ground like in World War One battlefields. I would have expected this area to be strewn with them as it is still jungle.
I saw the movie and the hill was at 45 degree angle going up to the top, to me this hill in the video would be harder to take because it's flat and wide what a waste of lives on both sides.
❤️🇺🇸💙 Such a Sad War...Too many Lives were lost including my first love in 1968..All of our Vietnam Veterans are the Bravest..God Bless them All..🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
🙏🙏🙏.. God bless all my fellow veterans and especially those we lost.
On the other hand, if your first love hadn't been killed, then (presumably) none of your children or grandchildren would exist. So really, you wouldn't want things to be different.
Hello where I can find or contact the family of one of Vietnam war soldier
When you received the news, how was it, i mean what was tour reaction, were u kind of lost your mind or hysterical or whatever, sorry just asking
Sadly a worthless war...so many lives lost...for nothing! RIP to all who served.
Wish I could understand what they were talking about. Understand just a little
