How about you talk to some bitches instead
Thank you so much!
Hey asshole your game golf with your friends is trash learn physics dumbass
5d II still looking good all these years :)
How did you get it from
Nice
steal business right ENG crews.
Great resulution!
:)
I just don't get it, why do people go through all this crap when they can get a professional ENG news camera that does all this... like the professionals do? Guess I'm just a snob... then again I've been doing this for a long time for the networks...
Awsome just looking for something similar, wich mic and wireless sennheiser is that you use?
2^5.64 shades of gray.
Why not connect the H4N to the camera and record audio straight into the camera? Although the Canon 5D Mark 2 doesnt have a head phone jack, you can monitor the audio levels. And if the in-camera audio you record does turn out the way you want, then you have the files recorded simultaneously on the H4N as backup.....its less files to work with in post.
I'm sorry, but this video is out of date. Final Cut Pro X can now sync audio without the use of third party software. It is very easy too!
This man deserves a fucking round of applause! Great job man.
Great video, this really makes things really simple.
+Mitchell Shelby If you want to do things the hard way.
Hey what kind of screw do you use to hook your h4 to the hot shoe of the camera?
if your using FCPX you dont need any extra software. FCPX is able to sync an external audio source with your video FYI
How does putting 10-bit video on an 8-bit blu-ray give a "perception" of 10-bit? The point of 10- and 12-bit is that creators have all that dynamic range to play with before they downsample.
which headphones are those.....?
SONY MDR 7506
Great solutions! Nice with and simple. I was trying around different ways to record sound and sync it with video, but your way is far more professional, thanks for the information!
Covering the brand/logo of the Zoom H4N? really? No “free” advertise for ZOOM? What about the CANON name on the camera, as well SONY on the headphones or SENNHEISER wireless transmitter as well... LOL this is crazy?
Bout a grand cheaper than this setup.
Or you could buy an entry level eng camera for that price and plug the audio right into the camera. lol. but I am sure there is a reason why you wanna use that exact setup.
What lens do you use in the video?
it's best if you use it.fill light gonna add a awesome and nice effects...tons of cage are avaible. try P&C gearbox cages. awesome stuff.
Do you use a cage system so you can add a fill light.
QUESTION! What brand eyepiece is that on your LCD display? Did it come with the bracket?
very, very useful
You didn't cover checking that the recording isn't clipping?
Thanks for this. It's exactly the information I've been looking for. Have there been any developments/upgrades in your equipment arsenal that would make the recording process more efficient?
Ok I have a question if you can explain this that will be great. Though I'm a videographer and director myself but this has always made me confused - I work with DSLRs and when I do white balance low value like bring it from 5000K-2000K, the image becomes bluish but why is that that when measuring light its the opposite of it - when you go lower it is yellow/warm not blue/cool? Shouldn't the image be warmer if you set the white balance lower value? :S
Thanks dude really learned something here :D
Why did you put tape on "ZOOM" logo only? )))) Ahahaha
Good vid. Another important point for people (and we see it here)... MONITOR your audio with a decent pair of headphones. That way you really know what you're capturing.
yeh me too
Just out of curiosity, why did you censor the h4n and not the sennheiser transmitter?
Yeah, i also wonder what type of ball head shoemount he's using to mount the Zoom H4N.. Any link, guys?..
do u have a link for the wireless stick mic?
i knew it, FCP7 still rocks!!!
awesome
Sure, Yes you can do it with Nikon D7000.
This video is full of confusing stuff. They should've examined what they're going to say before saying it. downsampling from 10 to 8 doesn't give better quality than if it was 8 in the beginning, but any time you manipulate a value using math, you will lose bit depth, so recording in 8 and then working on it will leave you with 6-7 bits or so, but if you started with 10, then you'll likely end up at 8-9 bit depth, so when converting to 8, you still have full 8-bit depth.
What kind of nonsense is this? Did you just say the difference between 8 bits and 10 bits is not 2 bits, but rather 2^10(1024)? :P Way to confuse people, mixing up 2 different definitions of "bits" is the same sentence, and then still getting it wrong in the end. The difference is 2 bits, yes. And that, in this case, does not translate to 1024, but to 1024-256. But those are values represented by the bits, not the bits themselves. Gah.
For windy, outdoor recording, a StormChaser WindCutter will allow you to record good, usable sound, without all the usual wind noise.
Which support did you have use? Example for the support of senneiser and zoom h4n. Thanks
You import and synch them first, then create sequences for your clips with a visual TC overlay. Then export for transcription.
You need to use two sound devices. Even experienced pros sometimes forget to press the Rec button (once in the entire carrier). A second sound source could save your work (and carrier). You could use the cheaper zoom audio recorder. It has plenty of space and you can leave it on all the time. It has both space and battery to record several hours. The zoom recorder has 4 tracks. 2 XLR and 1 stereo mike (very good for background noise).
1. It's 48Khz not MHz.... 2. Using a "sound man" is more or less the same thing. The mike on the camera is low quality. The recording electronics are actually very good. But the sound is not necessary where the camera is. Or there's too much background noise. 3. You seem to be biased by some product you mention.
Only a matter of taste... and spare batteries (or empty rechargeable ones). Also make sure you pick a different frequency from the wireless mike. You will not hear the mike in the headphones..... but the headphones will "eat" at least one microphone channel (if using a wireless one) - if they work on the same frequency range.
