Seems to be a big debating point in the media - start of new communities or Bladerunner? A few extra green spaces, trees, would be nice in the plans - and reality - not exactly overloaded with them at the present. 👍🏽🌳

@@hilbre1158 lol yes we all need a little luck..but there is skill in the recognition of a cool piece..the tone of the jd-xi is very nice... you've done well..i have on my channel my first ever rave song..lol with the jd-xi and novation mini nova which is another affordable power house in the synth world..check it out if you like thanks for this..

Very True! So much of it looks like it's built from Lego Technic kit. And so expensive many people can no longer afford to live there either - not exactly community minded🤬

Hi @ctr-alt-del You can't get external instrument sounds recorded into the sequencer directly - in this example the JDX step sequencer is linked via MIDI cable directly to the MX. So JDX send Digital 1 keys and/or sequencer pattern to MX track 1, Digital 2 to MX 2, JDX drum track to MX track 10 and JD analogue to MX 3. Any ARPs playing on a track are sent on that channel. External sound source e.g another instrument can be put through the MX audio input (altho not much use here as the sound quality of the JDX is as good) but it will not send that out on the 'Audio over' USB line to a DAW i.e it is not a sampler or full sound card. @@hilbre1158 Ok thanks for explaining,i was having some issues with trying to record audio to cubase ai from the MX,so was hoping i could hook up the Mx to the jdxi and use the sequencer on that to record,thanks againt though for taking the time to respond..

@@ctr-alt-del I had never used Cubase when I got the MX and did find it tricky to sort license key out, and then get the audio and MIDI recording working. From Googling I saw many other people struggling as well - bit clumsy for 'first timers' 😄 Once sorted the sound quality and features are great though 👍 The JDXi works well as a basic step or pattern sequencer. If you use that to drive the MX then you can record the Yamaha into Cubase. In the example video I posted the JDXi sequencer is driving both synths - the industrial type sounds are MX. They could be sent into Cubase but the underlying bass sounds from the JDXI would not. Instead they could both be sent to a mixer with sound card and use that - but this was only a quick jam so didn't. Hope that helps and good luck with your own recordings!

@@hilbre1158 Oh ok....i did see a lot of issues with the licensing,thankfully thats wasnt a problem for me..the audio/midi tho was another thing...glad its not just me,yes the way they describe it in all the reviews its so "easy"...NOT!!HAHA..strange you couldnt record the underlying bass sound i wonder why!!thanks again for explaining it all,appreciate the time.

Hi Petr. Project was recorded in FL Studio (ImageLine) using their reverb and basic equalisers. One of the synths was a Yamaha MX which has some powerful software recreation of old VCF effects - so lot of reverb and chorus. Cheers
