Having been busy lately working in Dublin I took advantage of the weather and small window of opportunity I had to get home to Leitrim. Set up camp at what is one of my favourite viewpoints in Ireland.

This past Summer, together with my little brother Euan we decided we would bikepack the first half of the Sligo Way as a form of last adventure before he had to head back to school. The Sligo Way is and 86km national waymarked trail of Ireland. Starting at Lough Talt, County Sligo and finishing in my hometown of Dromahair, Leitirm.

Howth Cliff Walk - The Blue Trail

This trail is roughly 7km in length and is very achievable for any persons of moderate fitness. There are four different routes one can take, each marked with a different colour trail marker. The trail I took was the blue trail also known as the 'tramline loop' as the last 2km looping back in to Howth follow a private path which was once an old tramline. Thanks brotha! 🙏 we used a plugin, and made sure to shoot in a handheld jittery style as if shot on super 8mm. Props to Albert on the grading cause he nailed it. Do it!! I actually have a super 8mm from my grandad that I need to try. Just gotta educate myself on the process.

It's such a capable little tool considering the size and price of it. Well impressed with it.
@@stuiecambell3622 It definitely is impressive, I also fly the Mavic Air 2, but for most things, I'm happy with the little Mini. I've flown mostly over the coast of Ireland, but also in the mountains, and it performs just fine. Anyway, I subscribed to your channel 👍

@@stuiecambell3622 Its real weakness is the wind and reception issues. As you know yourself, the wind turbulence up in the mountains can be severe, so you always have to be careful with the Mini. Anyway, happy flying...if you're not in lockdown 🤦♂️
@@DroneViewsMedia true, my main problem is reception with the RC. Trying to push it for certain shots can be hit and miss. Still great tool. Thanks, you too!

Is it steep? How long does it take
Hi Conor! not particulariy steep once your on the trail. bit of incline heading out of howth and little steep section up some steps heading towards howth summit car park at the end. Other than that its pretty even terrain and the path is in good condition. Takes about 1.5/2 hours depending if you are taking your time or not. very achievable hike all round I would say!

I'm really looking forward to seeing you get on the likes of the (PCT I believe) if 2021 allows it and following your adventure there.
