Great job not dropping with the subframe. Im about to do this on a hybrid for the dealer. Under warranty pays 7.4 hours. You've got to be moving, but it can be done.
This is why I opted for the 5 Speed Manual on the new 2024 Nissan Versa S I bought. The car is 130 lbs lighter than the CVT version.
Do you have the part number for those clips?
Nice catch!! Looks like a great fishing spot!
Is there a video where you are installing the cover. I’m ready to install but I have to remove the compressor to make room. Also, do you need a new chain and guides or can you just use the old ones?
Nice one. Just subscribed to the channel. Keep up the good work
Man The nissan Juke was my first car and became my last car from nissan, I swear by God I lost to much many on this F car, I don't recommend this car to anyone even to my enemy, man just avoid buying nissan overall
Now put it back together and there better be no squeak or rattle..................
How much do you charge for this job?
I have engine ready to pull in a 2019 but the water pump outlet is hitting the frame. Any suggestions?
I've done 2 of these on my Caravan without removing the glass and I can tell you it's a horrible job! The second one only lasted 7 months before it started to fail. I replaced it with the aftermarket solenoid that is mounted near the actual manual lock lever on the door. It works great! That took about an hour to do. Try this system if your door is just buzzing. If you can't move the door lock lever this won't work. th-cam.com/video/xWtIe_xU160/w-d-xo.html
When you do the third one remove the glass. Way easier.
Is it possible to pull it and leave the a/c system hooked up
If your careful. Maybe. Hang the compressor out of the way
If you pull the front end , radiator , ect off it comes out either
Nice job. For the track cover (outside panel), how did you remove it? I took the tail light out and removed two sets of screws that hold the track cover. However, I can't seem to remove it as I am afraid that I will crack it. On my driver's side, I am wanting to replace the roller assembly.
Panel popper tool . Be gentle
@@barkoband4477 it would be great if you could shoot a quick/short video on that. Thank you!
@@dannyl3098 I no longer have that car here. The cover comes off with aplastic pry tool. Lube it up with wd and gently pry up
@@barkoband4477 I figured it out. Thanks!
@@dannyl3098hey man, I have to change the roller on my Sedona. I got as far as you did up to the panel and I got scared. How did you do it?
I am a Lyft driver, and I have a 2018 Dodge Grand caravan, on the left sliding door, did all of the sudden will not even open at all, either manual or by switch, and when I push the button to open, it says on the panel "unlock door to operate". So I did the obvious, I went to inside of van to flip the inside lock open, and it will not let me open the door at all. It's been working just fine for all these years. I don't know why the inside lock won't flip.
It's the cinch motors. They have problems. I made a video on how to fix BUT it's not easy
@@barkoband4477 thanks sir. I can play drums really good but I sure can't work on cars good!lol😁. When I try to flip it from the inside, it's just stuck, I wonder if I can spray some dry like lube in there?
I am in need of this, where is your shop located?
Toyota is trying to charge me 3200 for this… Any suggestions for me? Pls and thanks
I'd say bring it to me. We're very reasonable.
They still have my car one of their mechanics accidentally cut the hose to my radiator so they lent me a rental I won’t see my car till the end of the week It’s really sketchy to me so once I get my car back I will never go back to them
One time they scraped my car pretty bad and didn’t tell me. I had to call them and ask if they did this which they confirm on their security cameras
what is the best sealant to use after toyota FIPG Seal Packing 103 . @@barkoband4477
Oh I. See. The panel on outside. Which I took off but didn’t do anything with. Ill try thath
So I thought I needed to take the window motor off and then had a heck of a time getting that back on. When I did, finally before it rained, then I noticed I couldn’t open the door. Gonna try again. I know I just need to replace the actuator. So can you explain in written form or diagram which bolts to take out to get window out.
Could the juke transmission work in the Sentra b17
I see um in 3.5 V6. Probably bolt on . Might not fit in the eng compartment
man shit thanks, currently getting murdered on one and noticed that too
So... I replaced the actuator in my 2017 Pacifica. I was able to R&R easily enough without removing the glass. Sadly, I failed to test anything prior to closing the door. Now, I can't get the door open. I guess I need to double check everything at the actuator but I can't open the door to access the 3 screws needed to remove the latch assembly. Any thought on getting the door open? I've tried the outside handle, inside handle and the electric opener. No luck. Thanks either way.
I got a corolla with vvti. Gear problem I should do this also at the same time
Does it need programming after installation??
Yes
Thanks brother, I'm in the middle of replacing one of these lock actuators and I'm having to take periodic breaks to keep from losing my sanity. I will be removing the glass as recommended. Thanks again.
Pry out the little plastic triangle on the outside of the sliding door. With a trim tool . Remove the bolts for the glass at the regulator .Remove the glass. Now you can remove the assembly with the black bar/ devil. Together. Change out the little actuator. Install the whole assembly with the black bar. Install glass. You got this 🙂
Wonder if it would be easier to drop it out the bottom?
I've tried. This way makes more sense
Mechanical says trans cvt module needs replacing after trans replacement is he telling the truth
Says cost around 500$
What kind of car? Some do . Some just a reflash. Year and make matters. We just did a Altima cvt , 2018 and only required a reflash.
It’s a 2014 Nissan juke transmission was rebuilt/refurbished now the mechanic says all it needs is a new cvt module because it’s damaged from a previous accident
@@barkoband4477 would you have the part number for it?
Anyone know how to remove the black rectangle trim pieces off so I can get rubber window strip off and get window out? I feel like I'm going to break that plastic trim. It looks like it's double sided tape that's holding it, but not too sure
Gently pry it off . Use plastic trim stick so you don't scratch paint. Once the glass is off the whole assembly will come out.
Nice video of the process
Great video. Your poiint is very clearly illustrated.
Would you be so kind as to tell me, roughly how long from beginning to end does this particular fix take?
If you take your time and remove the glass everything will go smoothly. Id say , maybe 2 hours.
Do you have a video on how to do this service or can you post a video on how to do it? The dealership wants almost 900.00 dollars per door to do this job. Which is ridiculous. I know the NHTSA was conducting an investigation on this and of course they were paid off without a doubt in my mind to say " we concluded that 99% of doors that failed were past the 4 year typical replacement of the door lock actuator. Which we know is total BS. I appreciate you sharing this video.
I dont have a complete video but its fairly easy. The key is to remove the glass . Thher is a small panel on the outside that you pry off. Take off the panel and the sliding door panel. Remove the glass . Now the whoel thing comes out as an assembly. Put it on the table and remove some screws . Change the cinch motor , re install the asssembly. PUt in the glasss last.
🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾
About to take this on for my mothers van. Where did you buy your motor from? Thanks!
Chrysler dealer
we're I can buy the o rings I got a problem to find them please let me know
Toyota dealership or world pac . Timing cover kit
@BARKO Band I try in the dealership online but I don't find the part number in the diagram
Toyota want $2000 for the job
Dealership .
How much should this job cost? Dealership almost wants 3K!
Any tips for re-install? Cannot get the engine and trans to line up. Lack 1/2 of an inch for the dowels to go in but cannot get the engine to rotate downwards.
Make sure torque converter didn't un seat from trans and check the nose / pilot hole on block side for rust or debris . I put a floor jack under trans to level it to the engine dowels. Also clean off rust from the mounting area and lube dowels
Might have to reposition your chain to change angle of the engine
Thank u sir, it's a great help😊
Did you need to drop the subframe to get the engine out? Also where did you connect your hoist to get the engine out or did you just roll it out on an engine dolly?
I didn't drop subframe. Removed wipers , cowling and intake manifold. Found bolt hole for chain . Separate trans and removed engine

People always so stressed about their size rather than the skill and sport. I had a Karen screaming at me across the lake for abusing fish because I was catching many "dinks" and returning them to the water. She said if I was going to catch them, I need to keep them to end their suffering and pain. Now yes, casualties happen when fishing, but small fish become big fish, and that's what I hope for. But this Karen had zero to no intellect in regards to the subject.
Thank you brother. Your absolutely right, inventing new cussword's as I went along. POS Dodge. LOL

I've never wanted to thank an engineer in the teeth with a crowbar so fkn hard right now. JK
My best friend who passed away of cancer, was also Mondo Man ! Thank You for the information. Seems a lot of negativity everywhere, let us spread the positive mental attitude. Thank You Mondo Man for your time and informative information!
Take care of yourself. Thank you.
Sorry but if you need a total engine replacement at 70k miles on a very well built engine on a conservative quality minivan then you didn't take care of it and you got what you deserved. 10k Mile oil changes, never changed the coolant etc etc etc....
Absolutely. Customers are always mislead and some just don't maintain their vehicles. But the quality is also going down. I've seen well maintained engines fail at 100 miles.
@@barkoband4477 Yes of course it happens but rare, now the standard is 10k mile oil changes, lifetime fluids etc. Most People lift their hoods maybe once a year w/Clogged air filters changes every 5 years etc. Most cars always burn a little oil & coolant some more than others in between changes and next thing you know oil is 2+ quarts low and coolant recovery bottle is dry and there we have it folks, Head gasket replacement city.😉.. There's a TH-cam video on here with a '17 Pacifica with 500,000 miles. Oil changes 3k miles along with all fluid changes etc.. Dare I say women are the majority? I won't say that though I'll just hint that it🤣
These aren't well built engines I need a new engine in my 2018 Pacifica with 67,000 mi on it , it's been well maintained and it started drinking coolant All you have to do is Google these engines and you'll find all the problems you need
@@carlpreston1680 Yes these are known issues but very rare. The 3.6 Pentastar 3rd gen is one of the best built engines in a 6-cylinder ever made with millions of proven miles. It's a shame what happened to yours but still very rare.
NOPE, do your research. Mopar knows of the issue, its not user error...it is cheap parts and bad engineering. The plastic oil cooler failure causing misfire codes, ...with resulting in coolent leaking into engine. Equating to blown engine, best case sinario just gasket or head. But no shop will touch these issues because of liability upon work done, so they default to OEM replacement....passing the shitstick to the shmuck who invested in this vehicle. Its happening to thousands
So I am having to change a motor in a 2017 Pacifica but the engine is locked up how do I go about getting the torque converter bolts out??
Those last two words say it all.
How long to pull it
About 3 hrs. Not bad.

Wow!!! Is the new engine an Oem Chrysler or a rebuild from somewhere else..
OEM...
We usually only use factory reconditioned or rebuilt.
Sorry when I asked I didn't see the whole video yet but now I watched the rest of it.. Do you recommend motor flushes of any kind to clean any junk out before oil changes or is that stuff not recommended?
@@seatime674 I would check with manufacturer recommendations. The best thing is oil changes at proper intervals. I only flush a motor if it was run with low oil level for extended time , oil contamination or if a component replacement requires it.
@@barkoband4477 👍.. I know your the Toyota guru but say with a Chrysler 3.6 Pentastar '18 Pacifica, would it be Ok to go with a reman long or short block or always stay with an Oem crate....
