Boss them, i lived by where this was filmed, never seen this before, woolfall shops and flats, some of the crowd look familiar aswell, the amount of times ive walked passed them shops and flats going to dovecot, all different now flats and shops have gone, for houses. Thanks for sharing what a gem to find.
😆 woolfall heath avenue shops, use to live on the very top floor of the heights there standing in front of a few years before they got ripped down, mad times 😵💫
So glad a member of the Huyton Past page on facebook mentioned these as I remember them performing on woolfall but I couldn't remember there name. :) x
Yet another example of injustice... Band's like The Crescent should be dominating the music business, it's a crying shame this band didn't go all the way... great tunes, great swagger... I caught 'em live at The 100 Club in London once, Noel Gallagher looking on too...
Good to see The Crescent's stuff online, Thought they were lost in the era of pre-internet recording. The live release of Spinning Wheels was cracking.
Is that in Huyton ?
Lee Mavers from The La's worked with them.
They were his proteges.
There's a tape on TH-cam called The Crescent Tape and it's Lee teaching The Crescent how to play. It's great.

Your mate joey and his dogs is a Brill guy ,had the pleasure of meeting him last week
This is a gem. Loads of bands on Merseyside under rated like this and lost in the tatt that's an excuse for chart music these days.
I can't get no satisfaction.
Fantastic song, great album still listening now, thank you.
Shame Sean ruined it go ed Joey on the drums lad
Good memories recording that video!
It´s like a mix of Morning Glory and Born to be Wild
Magic, innit
The Crescent, The Bandits, who's making our music now?
I was the little kid doing the Egyptian dance halfway through, moved out of Huyton 11 years ago now.
My sister was on the end by the window. I was not born but this is a really good song.
So glad a member of the Huyton Past page on facebook mentioned these as I remember them performing on woolfall but I couldn't remember there name. :) x
Lee Mavers "all you need is three chords... Goin round" he was bang on, obviously imparted knowledge to these
