Cadillac sts 2007 computer problems
started to happen around 2015 start of the winter
Bought this car from a gmc man-northway dealer ship.
The dealer ship said they basically can't fix it because it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

It seems these problems happen in cold states i live in az with a 08 STS with 127 Miles and theres no problems it runs great
When it says no fob detection. Put your fob in the center console! There’s a place it goes in the main back of the center console
I had this problem in my 05 sts ended up being the radio believe it or not
Good to know, what did you end up doing to solve the issue? Reprogram the radio or replaced that whole unit?

2005 sts shit into park but does not indicate it and wont start
I had my STS for 4 yrs. Bought it with 61,000 mi and got rid of it at 100,000mi due to high mileage and I was worried about getting hit with computer related issue down the road. It was a great car with a nice body style . I had an 06 with the performance package.
Did you happed to put the led lights in the rear if so you need to put a diode in the electric rear running lights
FIX!!!!!! sort of, isolated the problem to a connector,,,, it is not the ECM,,,, the location of the connector is on the passenger side next to the front seat, about where the left shin would be, you might have to pull the carpet back a little, there are two connectors, one little, one bigger, if you disconnect the bigger connector the problem will go away, you may isolate it down to a single wire, not sure what it goes to but it seems to go somewhere behind the dash,,,,.. I am still working on it, but disconnecting it will enable you to drive your car without it randomly cutting off.

I had same problem the battery wasnt big enough i bought a bigger one 800 cca problem solved
my 2003 cadillac cts did the same thing i know its older but it might be the same thing it was my ecm module.

Correction. The dealership didnt want to charge you what they'd have to pay the tech to fix it. Any GM tech could fix it, but they would want to charge straight time and the dealership would never okay that. It becomes a matter of economics, not competence.
bad abs moduel? have seen the same symptoms in bmws the cause was weak soldering points in abs moduel

Try the sensor on the brake pedal it's not sensing that you're pushing the brake pedal to release the lock
Hi I just purchased o6 from a new car dealer as is , seats not working ,electrical problem caused by 2 inches water under back carpet unblocked the 4 drains and tubes , water issue still not fully resolved it’s not ac as it has not left my yard since purchased getting ready to safety check . repaired electrical / electronic problem but I bet most of your problem are water and moisture entering the connectors and controls

Use that piece of shit for a demolition derby car. I got an 07 DTS piece of shit. Cadillac fucked up making them no good north star system engines, and them 4100. I would never get another. Old school cadillacs are better. That new northstar shit is junk.

I got my 05 sts and it dont pick up speed fast enough to get out in traffic and my traction light is on what could it be. Doesn't read my gas tank or my mileage to empty
I have an 05 STS v and I don't have a problem with speed but some of the other stuff check some of your sensors and change the battery in the key fob it will help out a lot
mine did that... the radio was bad... its the second brain of the car... pulled the radio worked fine.. had to get another radio for it
The radio hold configuration settings like specific driver memory settings link to a specific FOB. So it makes sense the radio can be the cause of the issue

I think you may need to change the ipm (Instrument Panel Module) under the glovebox

Hi Nick here electronic tech , I purchased an o6 lots of water under rear carpet driver side ,seats did not work ,2 inch’s water under back carpet . Water damaged my passenger and driver electronics seat modules and wiring . Cleaned the 4 drains and tubes for roof problem still not fully solved . I would start by getting a diagram of all the connectors and cleaning all pins and sockets with non residue contact cleaner that’s plastic safe ,test on some junk plastic connectors first follow all instruction and safety precautions on the can and fire safety . Also check all ground connections for tightness and rust . Some of the US auto parts suppliers have diagrams available free on line of wiring harness and connectors points some of them under the carpets that run from rear seat fuse boxes hope this helps and be careful as most of the contact cleaner are flammable and toxic And do not use on any live or powered up circuits because of fire hazard make sure it states on the can of cleaner non residue before using ,any green or corroded connectors will need to be replaced as cleaner won’t on them

airbornefo32 no sorry they haven't fixed the issue but it has not been acting up lately and I think it was something to do with the battery shorting out
airbornefo32 your battery cables might be loose or malfunctioning. We had to get rid of our 2006 STS4 because it had problems with the battery. It was a North Star v8 all wheel drive. My grandma took The car one time to visit her mom in the nursing home and the car died up at the nursing home which was right up the street from the house so my grandma called us and said hey this car broke down and what happened was the front doors completely locked up even when you try to stick the key in the lock and turn it to pop the door open it would not budge. The back doors however stayed on locked so what she did was she crawled through the backseat into the front and open the door on the inside and she tried to start it and it said service theft deterrent system which is the alarm so it did that to more times when she was with her friends. And what happens was the windshield wipers would be turned off and they would just start moving very very slowly and it would say service theft deterrent system on that display and it would not let us start the vehicle so we had to flatbed it to the dealership to get it fixed and like I said before she didn't want it back
Kyle M did u fix it I had kind same problem but my problem is the radio is off and the gages is going up and down with engine light on and service vehicle soon and ac and power steering etc .. and I replaced the battery and still doing same thing
salam fatal the last thing repaired on it was a shortage some where in the battery and I havint had any problems beside it saying there is no fob and that it's getting warning of thief but that only happen a couple times and from today it has been good since it's not winter anymore. when it's cold out it seems to go out of wack and everything starts to break
