EPISODE #3 SANY EXCAVOTOR FOR LOT CLEARING
Nice vid! In hindsight would you rather have rented metal concrete forms?
No I was probably more into it for the r value and not having to frame interior walls
@@bar6builds605right on, I'm guessing you'd recommend it for that reason as well. I'm thinking about building a house in Spain. The desert climate looks similar to you. That R value gets you colder summers and warmer winters? Doesn't seem like there are any sound proofing benefits when living in the country, but I bet it's nice in urban settings. Good point about it being easier to push out than pull in!
Why didn’t you paint the walls before installing prefinished cabinets?
It's a lot faster when all the floors are hardwood. Install all the base and the painter only sprays once
very happy you getting closer to the finish line. You go with construction loan ?
Of course. If I was rich I wouldn't be wearing dirty clothes and working 12 hours a day
@@bar6builds605 I asked because I am trying to find proper way to fund my house build, I will be starting with $150k cash and still need like $300-$400, not sure if refinancing existing home or taking construction loan or line of credit is better
Awesome! Looking fw to the next video
What a frickin headache
Wheres all ur money from
30 years of busting my ass and rolling profit from house ro house. The very unglamarous hard way
Really enjoying the progress! Makes me excited to build my own house one day.
“Tommy G” lol Big dogs gotta eat!!!!! If ya know ya know!!!!!!!
why not 6’ then another 6’ in a few days what am i missing
That's probably what I should have done. Probably the pump way out where I'm at twice was the factor
Did you forget to subtract the height of the tread for the first step? Metal or wood? You’re going to free float that with a 3” wood tread with a square plate to fasten. Handrail detail with cable wire? I’m assuming the square tubing is DOM HR? Are you building your own rift oak laminates for the tread? Nice work, I’m interested to see the next step and the finished staircase. Please no LED strip lights.
That's a lot of questions just stay tuned I'll show everything. Solid oak treads and cable railings
@@bar6builds605I would go the lamination route. In other words strips roughly 1 1/2” the full length glued together. No finger joints. Then flatten with a cnc and finalize the dimension on a flatbed machine sander. Go with the Brocken glass look it’s more modern and I’m sort of over the stainless cable DIY look
NS 150 Watts LED work light
Nice work my man
Awesome job dude!
Sorry I'm lagging on videos but I'm absolutely consumed with getting this house finished.
That looks awesome ❤
Awesome start!
incredible job. can't wait for the next videos
why do you use pump for every single zone ? I think one pump is enough and each zone can just have valve
I had a professional build the panel. That part is beyond me
Would the building be lighter if they had engineered trusses instead of beams
Why not breakup up the concrete pillar footer and re-pour that?
Also woks with foamed glass (glavel).
You wouldn’t have had to level those blocks if your footer had been level, which self compacting cement would done without a level. You didn’t save money by using regular cement, you wasted both time and money.
Most likely Laser, high tolerances would be done with EMD machining.
I thought I was alone in my thoughts😅 i love my daylight. Worked in Alaska. The end of January saw the Sun once as a little blip in the South sky. That was a long two weeks
Andrew Santino?!
I just poured my 10x20 patio a couple months ago. Great experience, but i don't think i'll want to ever do it again Called a pump truck to get it to my back yard, the driver was very kind and gave me some tips and tricks as we were pouring. Loving the progress of the house btw! 👌
Bro you lowkey look like my bus driver
AWESOME!
Looks mint!
All concrete wall?! Too high for the foam?
What thickness of ICF were you using?
8" wall 2.5" of foam each side
Looks amazing dude congrats
what light switches system you are planning to use that they can be controller from cat6 ?
Loxone automation
The treatment of the sulfur depends on the levels measured. Water quality test will provide a route to best treatment. An old farmer once showed me his sulfur treatment method using a small adjustable mister nozzle connected to some 1/4” air brake line, coming from a spigot close to the well. The mister nozzle emitted a fine spray of water, less than 1/4gpm, and hung about 12” down inside the well casing from the top. The mist of water kept the sulfur smell suspended and they didn’t taste or smell sulfur in the house. We removed the mister nozzle and within a few minutes you could smell the sulfur rising up the well casing. There is a you can buy that does just this. I don’t know the name or how to find it off hand.
Great work. What lighting system are you using?
Loxone
Only pour 30" at a time.
But they did it all in a day right my friend the struggle is real
Yeah as an electrician in Canada this is true we tend to use metal boxes that you find easier with a metal detector. Plastic boxes are a bummer like that.
Az a European ICF makes no sense to me. If all you're after is the insulation value of the EPS why not just pour a standard concrete wall (fast) then just glue the EPS (or better yet XPS) to the outside of it? (also fast). All I see in these ICF videos are people wasting a ton of time prepping their walls for pouring so they don't blow out, and all they gain over standard concrete blocks or poured concrete monolith is a lame 2 inches of shitty open cell EPS.
That's impressive.
What a great property
Thanks
Yeah, I’m gonna need a video about your LED strip system. I’ve never heard about pre-wiring for it.
It's coming
Thanks as always for sharing-looks like a ton of progress!
Colossal amount of work for one person. Amazing.
Yes it was
Awesome job! Looking forward to the low voltage video
Me too
are there specific fasteners to hold J or L bolts to ICF foundations? I want to make a strip footing and then finish the top with traditional stick framing.
Are you talking about the top of wall or coming out the side of the icf
I have the same Makita SDS Max rotor hammer. Try using the D handle I find I like it more and you can change hand position
You can't burry Pex in spray foam? I've never heard of this and seen it done hundreds of times.
That doesn't mean it was right
Can you cold joint the rows?
Yes but not preferred. I poured 12' in one pour but we sat around a lot and waited for the lifts to firm up
Where do I get the scaffolding
Sometimes the icf supplier will have it for rent if not someone around has it for rent
Shitters full!¡!
Just checking my audience
That shitters gonna be a shitter lake.
