I live in a small rural town in Kentucky. I see those flags everywhere. As a lover of History (this is my 2nd channel. My main channel is Andy’s History Lessons, please go check it out.) I like collecting historical artifacts. Also, I’ve always wanted a Dixie Flag (nickname for the confederate flag.) to put up in my room. And the third reason why it is there, is because I believe that in modern day times, the confederate flag has become the Southern Pride Flag. Contrary to media portrayal, Southern Pride is not “code” for White Supremacy. Southern Pride is being kind-hearted, friendly people who are loving and tolerant to all. That’s the way that pretty much all Southerners are. We don’t care about color or sexual orientation or any of that meaningless crap (excuse my language.) The infamous KKK are pretty much gone. They’ve gone from having 30 million members, having chapters in every state in America, and making up 33 percent of the voting population (yes, at one point the KKK made up about a third of the voting population in the US.) down to only 5,000 members, no chapters anywhere, and a few thinly stretched out pockets and they no longer make up part of the voting population. So, I wave it for social reasons, not racial or political reasons. I’m trying to get people to understand that just because you see a Rebel Flag (confederate flag) doesn’t mean you should be afraid of the person who has it. In all likelihood, they’re like me. A Southerner trying to show their pride; how proud they are to be from the South. And actually, the LGBT+ community was my inspiration for trying to change the nationwide opinion on the confederate flag. The LGBT+ community uses the pink triangle, which was used by the Nazis to mark gay concentration camp prisoners. So, if the gays can take a hate symbol like the pink triangle, and turn it into a symbol of love and tolerance and community, why can’t us Southerners do that with what many of us believe is OUR pride flag. So yeah, that’s why it’s there. But, you’re entitled to your own opinion. Neither one of us are right or wrong, we just have our own unique ways of thinking. Also, I did a Civil War Reenactment in Mount Dora, Florida. I’m originally from Orlando, Florida. I was a Confederate Soldier in the Reenactment! 🤣

Also, I’m pretty sure that the look on your face was like the look on your character’s face when you saw that flag! 😳 🤣

@@andysjamsessions2598 Also yes, yes it was that look. And funny thing is people think it’s the only one that exists, but that’s not true. It was specific to General Lee and the people he commanded.
