Education from Experience (EfE) - The Beauty of Hornwort
Welcome to another new type of video! This time, you will get to learn about one of my favourite aquarium plants, Hornwort! While some of the info I share is based off research, I mostly tried to explain things from what I’ve already experienced. Some stuff might be different if the way you do things is different, but at least you’ll get new ideas from a different perspective 😁 If you have any other thoughts that I didn’t mention in the video, or if you just feel there was something wrong that was wrong, feel free to leave a comment! Don’t forget to like and subscribe 👍

Can you culture the creatures you find in your filter? - Exp. Numero Uno
มุมมอง 1594 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a new type of video I’m trying out on the channel. You will get to find out if it’s possible to culture and breed the little beings that spawn in aquarium filters! The past videos on the channel were mostly tank scaping videos, but this time I wanted to do something that all you viewers could try as well! Now everyone watching this video can do this experiment at home and see if you can...
Mini Terrarium Scape - "Terracampis"
มุมมอง 614 ปีที่แล้ว
This tank is much different from the other ones you’ll find on the Aquarion’s channel. It’s completely out of water, with an occasional shower of water to keep everything moist. This is the first-ever terrascape of the channel! There is a reason behind the decision to keep this set-up out of water, but that will be explained in another video 😉 Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy watching this hollow ...

I can't hear you.
I’ll definitely make the music softer when I get back to making videos. Thanks for the feedback!
When u zoom in at 3:15 (shrimp) what is that?? I know the hornwort is in back..
The fish or the plant?
@@the.aquarion the plant with shrimp on it. Wondered if it's Cabomba(?) or Myriophylum or another Hornwort variety. The only Hornwort I kmow is the coontail kind you have floating. Apparently there are many kinds. Thx.
It’s actually Limnophila Sessiliflora. Rooted plant so it needs soil but it spreads extremely fast so I actually stopped putting it in my tanks after I reset everything. Pretty good for beginners though because it’s a harsh plant
@@the.aquarion Thx. I like fast growers for cleaning nitrogen compounds from my water.. 🍻💦
Hornwort is so freaking messy!!!!!!! 😩
True but it's so healthy for aquariums. Keeps algae at bay always and is a great addition for tanks that have shrimp and fish that breed often like guppies and platies.
I decided to remove the hornwort into the substrate and just let it attached it’s bottom to the moss mesh so it’s more convenient for to trim them but after a few days I just observe that it leafs are melting I don’t know why?
My bad for replying to this so late, only checked TH-cam Studio now. As for your problem with the hornwort, did you happen to add any chemicals or do a water change prior? Hornwort normally melts if water parameters change drastically too suddenly.
beautiful share, informative. Have a great and blessed weekend
My fish died bruh wtf
Did you have other fish in the aquarium? Maybe it was sick and you should probably medicate your aquarium if so
@@the.aquarion it killed itself i think it was bored
@@nignog2755 How did it kill itself though? ;-;
@@the.aquarion it jumped put of the fish tank im pretty sure
@@nignog2755 Ah makes sense. Hornwort helps improve water quality so it must’ve been something else
this is an absolute beautiful video, thank you so much!
I‘m glad you enjoyed it!!! 😊
Ok this is epic
I want to thank everyone who has viewed this video for the 5k views! I honestly didn’t expect it to get this high, especially because of how my other videos have done. I apologise for not posting more almost a year, but I’m definitely planning new videos for when I have time! Thank you all again 😊
You welcome, I just got me some I got 10$ worth of hornwort from a fish store I got my goldfish from & I have it in my barrel filter & it's thriving really good.
@@raisinggoldfishonabudget7058 Better not put the hornwort with the goldfish though or else you would lose $10 😂
@@the.aquarion that's why I put it in the outside barrel filter & the intake water from the pump goes UNDER the gravel filter I have going capped with crushed coral & black diamond blasting sand & it keeps all the crude filtered to feed the other plant's I have in it, Giant Jungle Val, Bacopa plants, their growing great & I was thinking when winter comes to put a heater in it & a air stone to keep it from freezing & wrap the barrel with bubble wrap to keep it from freezing th-cam.com/video/uIWyz_fPeyE/w-d-xo.html
almost 5k views but with only 48 subscribers
Even I’m amazed. I never thought this many people would watch this video considering my low viewership on my other videos. I just hope people are actually learning when they watch this video :)
Great job!!!
Great video. Thank you for posting!
Great video! Very informative and I love the effort you put into it. Deserves more views :)
Hornwort is easier on the ear than Coontail.
I like this video a lot! Thank you for sharing.
Great video we learned something..But I also learned that tutorial videos don’t really need music distracting from the narration.
I didn’t mind the music at all, it was happy. I’ve seen some videos where they have scary music blasting while talking about aqua plants 😂 I always wonder why they put that type of music in there. I respect your opinion though, just saying I don’t mind the lighter music behind the tutorial
This is a very detailed video, with great info and edits. Nicely done 👍
Thank you!
great tips! i have had problems with my duck weed. I wish I watched your video earlier. Would have saved me a lot of heartache.
I learned a lot!
This is so well done, Diego. Your videos have really leveled up. And your experiment is so interesting.
Need to check my filter! Great video!
Wow nice 👌
I’m glad you liked it! 🙌
Amazing!
