La Jolla fishing is on fire 🔥, the bite continues. Lantz and I could have filled up the boats with the fish we caught. What a beautiful day, calm, water temperature 73-74, sunny with a cool breeze to keep us comfortable. Hope to see you out there

After an epic bluefin trip Lantz and I are back in La Jolla getting after it. Lantz did a solo trip on August 1 and got a monster 36” halibut. We both went out Saturday and had a blast. Water temperature is 69, not a lot of bait, birds or fishy activity. Ran into James and he got a PB White SeaBass on Monday. Can’t wait to get after it next weekend, Hope to see you out there

Pacific Dawn 1.5 day Bluefin tuna trip. Epic trip, day time kite bite and wide open night bite, 18 people 29 Bluefin. Captain Charlie and crew put us on the fish. Lantz’s first Bluefin was 120 pounds dressed (dock weight), mine was 150 dressed. Just a wonderful bunch of people made the trip that much more memorable. Jammed out to the North 9 with the intention to troll and search for paddies towards the 178 then head to La Jolla. The weather had other plans, wind and swells picked up earlier than expected so Lantz and I made the decision to head in and fish OB. Had a great day and we are excited for our trip on the Pacific Dawn this week searching for Bluefin. Thanks for watching and hope to see you out there

Took advantage of the weather and went the distance. North 9 to 178 and out farther searching for kelp paddies holding fish. Water was cooler than last weekend down from 72 to 68. Hope to see you out there

More big calico during the Point Loma two step. Windy conditions with moderate swells made it challenging. Afternoon turned out nice with an amazing back to back calico bite for Lantz and I. Hope to see you out here soon

Epic day fishing in San Diego. Wind was blowing up from the south towards north, Lantz and I decided to motor down to Point Loma and drift fish all the way back. Super nice day, hope to see you out there

Fishing La Lolla with a stitched up right finger. Beautiful day out on the water, bite was slow. Lantz ended up with 2 Sandbass one being a keeper. Water temperature was 69-71, lots of bait and birds.

Power port pin missing on fish finder, fishing blind. Trolled and trolled some more, still no love. Lantz ended up with a 22” keeper Sandbass and a few calico (released). Weather was awesome, can’t wait till next weekend…see you out there
