If your channel is for survival tactics, I’m curious why you use electricity to cook. It’s not a self sustaining energy source.
Good question! I started doing weekend breakfast shorts for fun and then people seemed to like them so I try to do 1 per weekend. Most of my breakfasts can be made on a woodstove, camp cook stove or open fire, preferably with cast iron cookware. I have suggested that you'd want more than 1 way to cook things and to make fire for that matter. I'll post a few videos in the coming weeks with alternate cooking methods. Great suggestion! Thanks!
@@TinyFarm-dp1pp Alternate cooking methods would be really neat to see :)
I'll get started on that this week!
Better yet, purchase ground beef, pork, chicken on sale and have more options without all the additives.
Agreed!
Don't forget to use mentors....harness their knowledge.
Excellent advice!
Have you tried Kombucha?
No...not sure I'd like it. :-?
Are you going to try one of the apple trees outside this year? I am....I will winterized it and see what happens.
No...I pretty much destroyed them this summer. I put my big guy on the deck and the wind and heat, after 4 hours, destroyed the leaves. Still trying to bring him back.
Personally I would put down cardboard first and then pile my soil and compost on top, then plant. Permaculture for small yards...
Great idea! 👍
Wonder if you could put the roots in a pillow case into the washing machine to get the dirt off. I wash big batches of carrots that way.
@jeanrussell1233 that would be a huge time-saver! Will try it next season!
I make donuts frequently....my Cake donut recipe that I use is from a "Jean Pare" cookbook, Muffins and More, it has both cinnamon and nutmeg in it. Been using the same recipe for 35 years... I have a 1980's deep fat fryer that I found at a rummage sale....it works really well because it has a dial temp control. You will have better control over the browning of your product with deeper oil so it doesn't come in contact with the bottom of the pan. Usually you fry in at least 3" of oil... And keep your oil for another fry day because you will need to try apple fritters next!
@@jeanrussell1233 yum! You're making me hungry for apple fritters! 🍎
What about another Greater Depression
@SteveHartman-my9rg yep...I didn't explore that one, but good idea to have a plan!
Bacon and eggs where i live are NOT budget friendly unfortunately
In comparison to other foods they are cheaper BUT food has sky rocketed in price. If you break it down by serving it may still be a cheap option. But I hear you! The farm fresh eggs I buy cost $4 a dozen. I get bacon when on sale. You do what you can...
Good video But get rid of the background music
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated.
Yum!
Thank you! I love weekend breakfasts!
Looks dreamy wow
It was pretty and strange at the same time!
Delicious bread so good . Thank You .
I make this weekly! It's a staple in our home!
Experiment #373 should be corn on the cob up the butt😎
Yummy
@gregdraughon6019 It was! I love grated potatoes!
I’ve made dandelion wine and jelly. So many ‘weeds’ are actually edible.
We did jelly a few years back. Waiting for this year's crop!
I made these and they are very good!
They are worth the time! I love crumpets!
Looks Great! ❤
It was! Great way to start the day.

Submerge your bacon in water... you'll thank me later ;)

sourdough bread ! makes its own yeast ❤
Do you have a recipe you can share? :-)
Great idea to use a basement as a bunker! Lots of great ideas. Thanks!
Thank you! In most cases, sheltering in place would not mean you are in the basement. That is for the worst case scenario. But I think you need to always plan for worst case and hope for the best!
Wait why isn’t it all brown and slimey? Cause if the potatoes or was it contained
No...it was just getting old. The skin was soft and starting to wrinkle. The dehydrated apple tastes great!
I call that Bidenomics
This isn't the companies fault. This is a normal response to.maerket pressures. This is the fault of fake economics and money printing
500 grams... that's nothing for spareribs. needs to be at least 750 grams
Shrinkflation is large companies reducing the amount you get to buffer the massive impact of inflation that was caused by the political class printing trillions and giving it to themselves. Given the ribs likely went up in price $5 and they give you 20% less of them. Where did all that money go anyway?
What a great video. Being self-reliant is so important. 😊
@BellasWhisperFarmstead thank you, and we agree!
It's everything, it's everywhere, it's also skimpflation. Late stage capitalism is ruining everything.
it's called printing money dummies...they've been doing this dumb shit for decades so that they can afford the outrageous budgets they make us pay for every year. smdh.... some of yall won't wake up even when the obvious is hitting you in the face 😂
I've heard END stage
DONT BUY THE RIB BOX!
Never again lol
Wow, that's insane! It's half the size it previously was. How sad
Yup
Sad 😢
@DAN87 yep
IKR! All the box cooked ribs are like that now, It's depressing...
It is... @ryry998
It's called Bidenomics..
Sad...
Or it's really just corporate greed- but let's blame an old fart who has no real control on such prices
@NewSocialistEraVideos yes...for sure. Whatever the cause, when you hit people in the wallet, it doesn't go unnoticed. And times are getting tougher.
@CeeTeeUSA Whereas Trumpnomics is sucking up to every dictator in the world and announcing he wants to be one too.
@@NewSocialistEraVideos SHHHH they aren't ready for that conversation
How much did it cost?
On sale $8.
Same thing with Kingsford brand, they are now only 24oz packages and a lot more sauce in the packages.
We even noticed a cookie brand on the store shelf that had the 'old' size right next to the shrinkflated size...same price.
@@TinyFarm-dp1pp Check out shrinkflation video here on TH-cam. I do not remember the channel. He went over dozens of products that kept the same size packaging but redesigned the inner packaging to hold less product but still look full. Absolutely disgusting by the companies and even more disgusting that we don't cause more of a resistance to it.
Will do. Yep time to revert back to making your own...doing things yourself. Self-sufficiency!
I wonder how much money they're spending in packaging compared to product.
Considering it was pumped with protein, I would say way more on packaging than meat!
Just pennies the box former machine doesnt cost mutch more the reason the box remains big is because kts easier to have 1 size of box than to changing the molds every time they change to a different brand of meat. @TinyFarm-dp1pp
Makes sense...especially when the product is shrinking.
That would be pretty disappointing. If I had to guess, I'd say they've probably been using the same box for years, but decreased the portion size. It's a way to increase price per ounce without raising the price on the shelf.
It was, indeed. I don't normally use packaged, pre-made foods, but the ribs are pretty good, lol. And I was in a hurry...
@@TinyFarm-dp1pp I know all about that. I sometimes buy stuff like that to have on hand for when I'm just feeling lazy.
Well...I have 1 more pkg in the freezer. But it will likely be the last time I buy that brand.
More people should be thinking about this. Good video!
Thanks! No matter where you live...become self-sufficient. Our future depends on it!
