      @1190Shellback i was saying it's more of a cruiser. Will this thing have bad ass performance no doubt. But from my understanding a cruiser is about the positioning of the rider and kind of the style. Considering what I've seen people do with there harely's at this point you can obviously make them fast or stunt bikes and they can obviously do more than just long rides. But if you put this bike next to a ducati penagali or my rsv4 factory I'm pretty sure most riders or normies would identify it as a cruiser. I'm not taking anything away from this bike I think it's very cool. The super sport version of it may hit that more because of its style. Ether way hope this better explains my opion.

      @ Loud and clear my friend, I’m just stuck knowing it’s pretty much the Hammerhead in a cruiser style frame. Ergonomically a cruiser, no doubt, but performance-wise… @throttleblip told me earlier today that the Super Cruiser has 50 degrees lean angle! That’s 100% Super Sport territory. Although I will say this, somebody mentioned the arch, I forgot what model, but anyway, they mention the arch as a comparable bike, and when I went to their website to check it out, they were calling it an “American Performance Cruiser.” I can concede that it belongs in a cruiser category but I don’t think I’ll ever see it as way more cruiser than sport for all of the above reasons.

    It’s still a V-twin. By nature they’re torquey bikes just like boxer engines. If you watch Chase on 2 wheels review about the hammer head (which should be tuned sportier than this) he even says how this 1190 doesnt feel like the typical high rev’ing sport bikes. Instead, it’s more torque and carries that power through the range. That’s what makes me want this SC even more. I’ve sat on this bike in SoCal and it feels premium. Just hope they clean up the wiring and lines for final production. I’l just swap the exhaust and im set. Cant wait to get mine.

      @@Osyrus48 that makes a lot of sense. I’ll have to check that video out. Thanks. From what I’m able to gather it should cruise around 7000 RPMs and then really start to pull from 8500 all the way up to 11 K! What I really like to see somebody do as a review of different exhaust, this will be the first time the sound of it is the most important thing to me. I think we got HP to spare on this one! And was it the tuning or did they remove a couple of the injectors? Anyway, yeah, that and then mirrors signals and possibly the tail light and license plate mounting. Other than that, I definitely need a set of pegs up front, which is funny because there was a time when I said, you’d never catch me with a set of highway pegs, but that was a long time ago Before I really did any long range rides. Interested see what they come out with for bags and may get a mid sissy for the passenger. She deserves it, been sitting on a p-pad on rigid!

      @Osyrus48 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ Heard about the injectors being removed on this SC. And the rake angle being “dumbed down” to make it more of a cruiser. Im sure others can modify to improve on those but 175hp stock is more than enough for me on the streets. I’ll never make use of all that horsepower if im being honest. And that even with the “dumbed down” handling it’ll still handle better than any harley on the market. So exhaust is the only mod im still looking to do. This means cheaper than if i buy a low rider s which will need more than a pipe swap for me.

    I was disappointed to hear about the change from the perimeter brake too, I hope it will be offered as an option. I am not the least bit concerned about replacing front brake parts on a road trip. If you have front brake problems you pull the caliper off, wire it to your tree and go on with your life. Nobody who can’t figure that out should be on 2 wheels. I am glad to hear about Fox Factory making the suspension but I’m used to replacing stock setups of any kind as they by definition have to be a one size fits most item, and a good setup for an individual can always do better than that. Overall I’m looking forward to it and I really hope this comes to fruition. The USA needs a major competitor to force our two main manufacturers to step up their games.

As for the roadside repair, as a long time rider and commercial driver I’ve made my share of them and you’re right but after considering it I do prefer parts with the largest pool of replacement options so the loss isn’t really an issue for me. It's a badass bike, but it will not change the "cruiser" market... a whole bunch of people will by it but it won't change the market. it's too much of a sport oriented bike to be a cruiser. The front end is not "gucci" it what all motorcycle racers use...it's the only way to make a front end. But the bottom line is that you're on two wheels...END OF STORY!!!!! Me personally, I'm into cafe racer bikes. So I like the sports bike connection the Buell has over Harley. I'd never buy a Harley because I like the twisties and dragging knees (just a different riding style). But at least it looks like the Buell can be a sportier cruiser alternative. Besides, competition helps others to innovate!

    I enjoyed your take on it. Seems to me the Buell Super Cruiser is a quantum leap improvement on the old school rides, that were popular before the trend deviated toward the comfort bells and whistles of the baggers. I like my motorcycles to perform well, and I like them lean. I live in Canada so I don't have the made-in-America pride, but I do trust American manufacturing. Can't afford a Harley or the Buell, but I would buy that Buell in a heartbeat if I could. For now I'm happy with my CB650F inline 4, and my always fun CRF300L dual sport 🙂.
