How to Be Rooted and Grow in Christ
Spiritual growth has become very complicated in the church. Take this class. Try this method. Pray more. Give more. Read more. Yet often we still don't seem to be any more "like Christ" than when we started. How do you grow in Christ? Colossians 2, verses 6-7 give us some concrete pathways to growth.

Max Lucado put it well for those of us who are followers of Jesus - "God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus." As Christians, we are to grow up in all things into Him who is the Head - even Jesus. But how do we do that? Is it all what I do? Do I simply wait for God to change me? How do I grow?

God can use anyone. I mean, anyone. He used a sinful woman with a pained life to spread His good news to a village in Samaria. Jesus reminds us in this that the fields are white to the harvest. Living Water

Jesus is the Messiah - the One who meets the deepest needs of our lives and the only One who gives us both eternal life and a life worth living now. In John chapter 4, He meets a woman at a well in Samaria who was about as far from God as one can be - and brings her hope and life. In this passage we see that Jesus knows us, that He cares about us, and that He provides for us.
Trust and Obey

Jesus is, indeed, Savior of all those who believe in Him. John 3:16 hits this home for us. In the remainder of chapter 3, John goes on to explain why we should listen to Jesus and then link together belief and obedience. Many today believe that you can divorce belief in Jesus from listening to Him and obeying Him. John points out that the two are intimately bound together.
What Does Easter Mean to You?
