SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED THE SHOW 4:12 i know this is 2 weeks late but the game is set in an alternative timeline, where the transistor was never invented, so everything used vacuum-tubes like early computers. And thus the timeline starts diverging from ours in the year after WW2, and progress is generally much slower. But there is also no Cuban Missile Crisis, Long Island, etc, and no reckoning with its past, so the US carries on in a sort of Truman-Eisenhower Superamerica with nuclear powered cars, etc. and they keep 1950s estecick (damn I butchered that word). But in the 21st century fossil fuels and other resources starts running out, and The Resource Wars starts; where Europe, Africa and The Middle East is torn apart, and China invades Alaska to get the last remaining oil resource on the planet. And in October 23, 2077... Boom. An unknown country bombs the US and the Great war last for hours wiping life from the face of the earth. No one knows who launch, most say China, some say vault tech (it was a theory before the show), but at least we got an answer from the the show. And oh yea, the US turns authoritarian semi-Fascist. Hope this helps.

...oh yes, you were mentioning subliminal space. Subliminal is actually something your conscious mind doesn't perceive, but your subsconcious does, like say, a "sublminal message" in a video where a pattern of flashing lights makes you do something. Liminal techincally refers to being between two states or something just barely perceptible, like say between sleep and wake state, or lights that you just barely see. I think in the case of liminal horror games, though, it's those very minimialist spaces that you dont' know the purpose of, or that have been totally abandoned, and, sometimes, are repetitive.

Interesting what you were saying about this being a chill game, but it's supposed to be horror. I just looked it up on steam, and saw how the horror comes from getting lost, tight spaces etc. but sometimes, it's sorta zen to just let yourself wander. Of course, you usually do that knowing you have some sort of way back to where you were, even if it's not quite direct. More and more, I notice how the music of Silent Hill is put on chill lists for music, even though it's music for a horror game. The music has the horror tones, but when it doesn't have the more menancing sounds and tones coming in, it's soooo relaxing! I'm becoming fascnated by this whole liminal thing. It's like liminal is not exclusively horror or zen...it depends on what side of the coin you are in the experience. It makes me want to tackle this idea in my poetry and music! It's funny, you looked so chill right at the beginning of the stream, and you talked about how this game can actually be chill. It's cool how a game like this, a minimal game, frames things in your mind. You got so excited to be able to sit, and in most other games, like say Fallout, if you sit, it's just a standard part of the mechanics. When you sat in the game, your though was "Lets contemplate life, shall we?" It's really all quite fascinating, when you step back to take a look at what's happening :)

I was literally wondering today if you had heard of the whole backrooms thing. I watched the youtube channel on it. They cover it kinda like they cover SCP. There are some SCP based games around too. I'm interested to see this! I just got back from work and will check it out!

I don't know if you saw me mention it in the chat, but the update for fallout with the Fallout show characters like the ghoul are on the google play version of the game, not the PS4 version. I just checked the steam version, and it doesn't seem to be there either. I remember you mentinoed chargning your phone though and checking it out, so it sounds like you have the google play version. The missions to get the characters from Vault 33 have some very specific paramaters. You usually have to have some very specific outfits outfitted on at least one character, like the ghoul's coat, etc.. Their stats are crazy high. They start out as at least level 30 charaacters! Have fun!

CHecking out this earlier video for this game. I'm glad I found your gaming vids to watch. So much of what I go to for entertainment is toast right now. The poetry shows go to keep crashing, the site is really having issues, and a lot of other stuff in general, I can't do for some reason or another. ...Welcome to my cities transit system! lol It's really fallen apart, since the drivers haven't been satifified with their contract for a long time, and they have to work a lot of split shifts. If I was driving the bus in my city, I'd be driving by stops too :P I just figured it out, and when I use my account to comment it shows my name with all the numbers besdie it, but when I'm in a live chat, it shows me as Robert Ma. Sorry for the confusion. I will have to look out for more of these horror games. I've been getting more into horror in general. Watching The Thing again, and watching Both movies from "A Quiet Place" series were my intro into that. It's funny how messed up the faces of the passengers are lol I'll be thinking of this game now when I go to work on the bus :P If it's spring/summer/fall though, and the weather is good, I take my bike! It's a quality bike, and going on the bus is just dreadful now. Half the time it doesn't show up! I ntice there are more and more gamse about very speciffic things, like this game,. It's a naat thing.

Have you tried CIties: Skylines? I think you'd really like it. It's a resource management game, and it's like Sim City, but you manage one single skyscraper in a city. Really micro-management. I remember you said you are into architecture, so that'd be another reason you'd like, it, I think. You can put statues outsdie your skyscraper, take out loans, etc. It just popped nito my head that that might be your game. And yes, coffee is damned expensive. But I'm addicted to it, so I just don't care :P

This was freakin hilarous lol But man...your video broke my brain for a moment! All of a sudden I heard you say "Hi Robby! Thanks for joining us!" and for just a sec I was like "Huh? whu?" This was isn't a live stream, I'm not here...what's going onnnnnn" lol but then, of course, I realized that it was a funny coincidnece. My reptililan brain took over for a sec though. I laughed so hard when you were "Karen" lol It was lots of laughs on a day that much needed laughs for me!
