I've been defending Yakuza English dubs for a long time but I really do not like this choice for Akiyama. I know he already voices Higashi, but given that Akiyama is based on Spike, I don't think Steve Blum would've been a bad choice.

If Jimmy had gotten to properly record this song before he passed, his vocals would've sounded even better with Matt's but even just hearing both of them singing the melodies together is great

Not that great but when I heard it I thought that he sounded familiar, and then I saw he voices Sadamoto in English, and it sounds about the same.

Why are there so many miscasts in this game? Yakuza LAD actually had fitting voices 😅

It really blows that they threw Akiyama in the back seat after 6, even slightly during 6. He's arguably just as iconic and important as Saejima and has been around just as long, but they always find a way to sideline our boy. Even more disappointed because he was a party member in the original gag reveal for Y7 and he never actually made it into the main story
