So glad I put a Tesla system on our roof 2 years ago. Cash is the only way to go. If I ever sell my home, the solar system will be included to the buyer as part of the house. The house was only 4 years old with a tile roof when installed. So far, I have been paying the minimum that Florida Power and light requires to be on the grid, and that is $28. But I have been producing enough energy that I have enough credits that 2024, I may have 2 months that I have a bill. Because we put in two Tesla Powerwalls, when our neighbors lose power during a hurricane, we are the energy source for people to charge phones, and we can store food for them as we keep the fridge running, (as well as AC), and most importantly, we make coffee in the morning, and have ice for the afternoon.

Is that right by the Garlic Brothers restaurant and the Village West Marina?

Thank you for all the knowledge you’ve provided on this matter. I found it very informative and has probably stopped us from purchasing a home in FL that we were excited about buying because of all the variables with solar panels. I also learned from another video that when a new roof is put on you should wait 3 months before putting on solar panels because of the damage that can be done when the solar panels and installers are on the new roof. So it seems like you’d have to have them in your yard or stored somewhere for 3 months before they could be put back on if the roof has solar panels before the new roof. 😬

$900 dollar per month lease for Solar ??? Come on dude . Why go to the extreme? $ 900/ mo. is outrageous ! An average sized home should NEVER come close to that monthly payment. Leased or Owned. Don't buy a house with LEASED SOLAR. Buy the home with the professionally installed, 25 year warranty , made in the USA , Home Owner OWNED Solar system . A reputable Solar company is not going to install panels on an aging roof. If you are working with an installer that is willing to install on your aged roof.... FIRE THEM ! CANCEL THE CONTRACT NOW ! Look at the power bill history. And do the math. Adding additional panels is not expensive when considering the long term savings. SOLAR is here to stay. Real Estate agents are going to have to learn how to discern a good deal, from a bad deal . That is what Real Estate Agents get paid to do. Not all Solar systems are created equal. I do not like the fact you have to puncture holes in the roof to install them. It makes me wonder when there are violent storms they can blow under the panels and loosen the fittings causing the leaks. Do not put any solar panels on your roof.

I just find out solar panels are a big hustle when trying to get a heloc first I didn't ask and didn't know Tesla had a ucc 1 lien on my house so I have to get a UCC release now the bank wants to know what will happen in case of foreclosure because the contract purchase agreement doesn't say anything about that so they want an amended purchase agreement with that information...
