Final Sweet Potato Harvest in Northwest Florida! How Did We Do This Season
Join us on our sweet potato-growing journey in the Northwest Florida Panhandle! 🌱 This was our first year of vegetable gardening, starting back in late April with a raised bed made from pallets. We used a soil mix of native soil, sand, topsoil, and natural additives like 5-5-5 fertilizer, bone meal, blood meal, perlite, and a touch of Black Kow.
In this video, we’re harvesting the last two rows of an Asian sweet potato variety planted a bit later than the first rows-which might explain their smaller size. Lessons learned: next year, we’ll plant our slips right after the last freeze!
Catch our first sweet potato harvest here: First Time Harvesting Sweet Potatoes in the Northwest Florida Panhandle.

I don't think what you have are stink bugs. The bigger ones look like dragonfly nymphs, which will voraciously eat small livestock. You could try to remove them all manually, treat the tank with something, or just wait for them to turn into adults and leave the tank on their own (it can take months for them to mature though). I'm not sure what the small ones zooming around are, but they could just be harmless ostracods, copepods, or daphnia.

Thank you so much for this comment. After looking it up I belive you are correct. Looks exactly like it. More terrifying than stinkbugs for sure. I may end up breaking it down slowly and dipping all the plants then rinsing the substrate. I have a 40g that I want to set up anyways.

I have a melarious, radiant and a tiny silver bellied wrasse that were together in a qt with 3 femal anthias and 1 male. They were in there for a month didn't see a single act of aggression. I added them into my reef tank, I was in complete shock, none of the wrasse hid they swam around no other fish in my system cared about them as they were eating live brine (distraction methods has been working for me lately, photos mirrors for tangs ) and then I saw my tiny silver bellied yellow wrasse snatch a shrimp and dive bomb into the sand right infront of my melarious wrasse who freaked out and dove straight into the sand😂 next day they were all out and doing fantastic, 2 weeks goes by and my yellow wrasse disappears (can't jump out/through I have a full cover/canopy) and it's been bout a week and a half and still haven't seen it. Not sure what's going on... all other fish and wrasse completely fine. Hope it pops out soon

Hi Micah, we’re currently experimenting with running the micro-bubbles through AquaChar in place of activated carbon. We’re doing this because AquaChar is a bioremediation media that houses bacteria that we have seen under a microscope eating algae blooms. Might be worth a shot if it keeps your glass from growing on it.
