日本語で書きます。私が初めてGISMを見た時は中期～後期でしたのでR.U.Gに横山SAKEVI氏がいる印象を受けました。ランディさんやKANNONさん、HIROSHIMAさんはと１ST発売当時以降（当時はDr　MARIOさんです。HIROSHIMAさんは奇形児というバンドにいました）からヘヴィメタルに傾倒しており、特にランディさんは日本の４４MAGNUMやW.A.S.Pのブラッキーローレス氏が好きだと言っておりました。実際に４４マグナムのライブで偶然会ったこともあります。しかしだからこそGISMとうバンドは面白い音の融合が出来たのだと思います。ランディさんはライブではよく間違えて弾いてましたが、頂いたスタジオのテープなどを聴くと素晴らしいギターフレーズを奏でていました。まさしく天才だったと思います。頭の中でフレーズが完成しているそうです。今やランディさん、HIROSHIMAさん、そして横山さんまでもが亡くなってしまいましたね。あの当時の可能性を秘めた８０ｓの空気感を今は感じる事が出来ません。寂しい限りです。

If you care... Gism - “Ghi-sum” You can hear Sakevi pronounce the name in “Death, Agonies and Screams”. I used to pronounce the name as you do until I was corrected by Dwid of Integrity on a phone call with him in 1996. Translated out of Japanese katakana, the band is sometimes referred to as “Gismu”. Sakevi - “Sock-ay-vee” (H.R.) Giger - “Ghi-ger” Rhymes with meager, this is how he pronounced his own name. I used to pronounce it as you do as well until I read the proper pronunciation. Kuro - “Koo-rho” If you want to be specific, subtly roll the r. My first introduction to Japanese Hardcore was mail-ordering the “Thrash ’Til Death” LP from Pushead in 1989 and a home-recorded tape someone sent me with Detestation and a lot of other obscure HC in 1989 or ’90. Consider it nerdy...I consider it respectful to the individuals and their culture. Americans are notorious abroad for mispronouncing foreign words. I am also a first-generation Japanese-Amercan. Its not often people talk about real punk and dbeat/hardcorepunk on this platform. I have a band suggestion if you dont know them check out Shikabane and Acute or this one obscure band "War ripper" you will enjoy if you have not listened. seems to be the kind of tempo you enjoy from the albums you have.

Thanks for jumping in Punk Vinyl Tag 2024. So many great records. Listened Brain Torquiso a lot in summer. You can't go wrong with Totalitär! I just love early Carcass. Crushing records! I have 4 versions of that Riistetyt. Lol. Same Havoc, Höhnie reissue, Kill City Reissue and original Rock-O-Rama. Looking for original Propaganda. Too bad that Rock-O-Rama book is only in German. I tried to get interview from writer, but he wasn't interested. Punkstoo is what happened here 3 years ago. Few punk members were accused on mistreating women. And there were also talks about rape. That leaded to ending of career maybe most well known punk band singer. He and other accused guy take these things to court and there is still one case in the court. Punkstoo shocked the scene here. A lot of things have changed, but still a lot things to do. Maybe I'll do a video of this someday. Take care. Let us know more about your black metal project. What about grabbing some Black Metal records and going through some of them talking about what inspired you about Satanism and what is problematic with it, or what doesn't sit well with your current philosophy. Then grab some Stoner records and do a similar treatment?

Great lot of titles. Have many releases of Rabid Grannies from all over, but have yet to watch my new VS copy yet. I know it is Uncut and also has an upgraded transfer. Love that film (and the graphic gore scenes).
