I’m with Suzette on the kissing thing. You don’t ask you just do it. Nowadays they say to ask before you kiss someone. That would just kill the mood for me. You know if you are both “vibing.” Of course some situations it might work and be kinda dorky-cute. But generally heck no.

I’m to be mean but I’m going to have to say it: Roberta is not very pretty. And doesn’t seem very nice. I wouldn’t care if a guy DID get me a rose from 7/11. And it is just a first date, not your 50th wedding anniversary! Plus, 7/11’s are still around but I remember being very little in the late 80’s and they were everywhere as a popular store. And he doesn’t look like a walrus. I’m glad he let her have it and told her what’s what!

The first girl does look a little like Liza Minnelli would have at that time, but she seems to be pretty entitled. I think he only came back at her because of how she was acting first. Not sure why someone who is "separated" would go on national TV to date. Maybe wait til the divorce is final.
