Only British say countersteering is a myth. There's a form of motor sport that proves its real well two. Formula drift and moto GP

That’s not counter steering. Counter steering is when you go into a right turn (or left) and lean the bike into the turn while simultaneously and most likely subconsciously slightly pushing the handle bar into the opposite direction. You counter steered a few times in the video without realizing it. Edit: looking back at the video you are counter steering, but you’re not pushing the right handlebar to go right..you’re pushing the right handlebar left to go right because you could easily pull in on the left handle bar to go right and get the same desired result.

That’s not counter steering. However, if you were to be going very fast, and needed to drift a tight right corner, you’d steer to turn right initially, but then you would need to counter steer to keep your back tire in so it doesn’t push out to the left and spin you out. It’s essentially a counter force to the direction you’re going.

That's physics, counter steering is what speedway bikes do.

No countersteering is what a rwd/4wd car will use in order to maintain control of a drift. Without countersteering the car would spin out.
