In all honesty, what hasn't changed beyond all recognition these days, eh Pete? You're of a similar age to me mate, and this video started in my old stomping ground of Brislington. I vividly recall Hiscocks (where I first encountered Dandelion & Burdock as a refreshment). Corner shops were literally on just about every street corner of Brislington back in the day. Happy childhood memories of the place but Sandy Park (like Brislington Village) is looking very shabby today! 👍

Hey Pete, turns out you are a terrible, ignorant driver - you have no idea what you are doing.

The old guy had the right of way, even before the latest rule change. I was crossing the road with my young son, when a car made a left turn, almost colliding into us. Driver thought he had the right of way, very dangerous.

The guy was clearly visible crossing the road before you even turned into it. Under the new regulations, you were in the wrong and should have allowed them to finish crossing.

It is you who lacks understanding of the Highway Code, the pedestrian at 0:35 had right of way. So it's back to school for you.

I agree it's wrong,but drivers fault entirely. New regs approx 2 years ago. Debate of a blind person with dog. Does dog know giving way. Why i believe it to be wrong.

There have been significant changes in the highway code regarding how you deal with pedestrians, particularly at junctions. I think a refresher is needed here.

When I was in my teens (a long time ago) they made a local road one-way. Back then we had real police and, when it was first done, they often used to park in the road and stop any drivers going the wrong way. The culprits' court outcome was usually listed in the local paper. Turned out the worst offenders were residents of this and adjoining roads!

The lane on the left was for left turning only, not for going straight ahead unlike the bike. Also, that red car was overtaking on the left, or undertaking.

Sorry to say it but in this video you're one of those bad flow drivers who only starts moving when the car directly in front of you moves (and even then with a four second delay). The moment it's red + amber you get in gear / find your bite and the moment it's green EVERYONE goes. Instant movement from all rather than a domino effect waiting for the car in front. Fair play to the taxi driver, he is increasing the flow of traffic or more simply how many cars make it through each green light. We all make mistakes / can improve :)
