This was so interesting thank you 🙏🏻 I really miss Candy’s art videos too but I’m happy to watch anything she makes 😂❤ Watching this made me realise I’m not a part of tarot tube anymore, which makes sense as I haven’t done any tag responses or community stuff for a long time. I still take part as a viewer but I got a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with things, so often I don’t comment or watch lives these days. My favourite videos are the ones about how people actually use tarot in their practice, or combining tarot and journaling. I rarely watch walk through or reviews. Thank you for the sweet shout out ☺️🙏🏻

Oh my gosh… just ‘yasss’ 💯 percent ‘YES’ to ALL of what cha were saying regarding music, bands, not knowing album/song names for some, etc, etc… lolz 😂 ESPECIALLY when jammin’ to some jammy jams on Spotify on ‘shuffle’ or whatnots; I just never really ‘look’ 🙈 As far as similar music taste, again, YUPPP!!! Love me some Modest Mouse, Alabama Shakes, LOVE Jazz/blues, Florence + Machine (but of course 🤗) and MOST importantly ‘Angsty Teen Music’ 🤣 I really ❤ed Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Death Cab for Cutie & the like (ya know, just all the coolest 🎵 DUH! 🤓) oddly enough, favorite artist currently tho would be Pretty Lights 🙃 Absolutely LOVED this tag & found it absolutely delightful! this is absolutely brilliant and so fun! Daylist titles are the music version of Netflix's micro-genres and make just as much sense 😂 I've been listening to Doechii's Tiny Desk Concert at least once a day for weeks now, no idea what kind of deck I would match up to it though.

I loved this! I use Notion as well for my collection and I use a lot of the categories you do. I add a picture to them all, even my wish list. In the wishlist, I put a couple of URLs of who sells them and prices. I have a category for spreads. I screenshot some from Pinterest and then choose one daily to try out. Then I take a pic of my daily reading, journal it in notion. I love all the real beautiful journals out there but I think maybe I'm too lazy to actually write. 😀Digital all the way!

I love this deck and am so happy you got it! 💜 I feel like it might be a deck study this year; last year I used it mostly as altar cards, having a season and moon phase card out all the time, but didn't shuffle it as often as I would've liked.

It was lovely to catch up and hang out for this. I’m truly sorry to hear about your loss. The grief is huge when losing a pet, and it’s truly the hardest part of those powerful connections. Sending love and hugs. 🫂🖤 Sadly there’s been some “cracking” counterfeits for a while. The Anima Mundi one is almost identical, down to the box and some aspects of quality. There is a card stock diff, but an easier spot for that one is that they don’t print the artists name on the box, and it is on the true indie. Wondering if this might be a way to tell with some others. But it’s becoming incredibly challenging in the secondhand market. Even new ones on top selling platforms. So heartbreaking for the creators. How fun that you’ve been able to get a deck with your favourite pencil colour. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue white deck like this. Congrats on putting yourself out there more over 2024, and all you’ve created here. It’s been awesome to share/be in community with you. 🖤

Yeah. A friend gave me a copy of that same Lubanko... I thought I would do something with it, but it gave me such a case of the ick... I just couldn't. I threw mine in the trash. I love second-hand decks, and I will keep buying used decks, but I am sad that people keep using them and selling them (especially in shops, where I KNOW they know.😡) A Kelly Bear pouch is the most awesome luxury. I love my double deck-er pouch. 😊 Good luck with your creations, I am hopeful to get my own art going this year.

I love seeing how others organize their notions. I don't have a genre column but 'nature' and 'gay' sum up the bulk of my collection 🤣 I am so much a paper/pen person but definitely want to track my deck usage this year, which I've never really done before; your spreadsheet is so thorough!

Deck study videos & deep dives are SOOO deep, for sure. I can see why people don't make them more - they take a lot of effort!! I think Kaity speaks for a lot of people when she mentions not being in the headspace to film or watch deep dive type videos as well. I also echo her sentiments about making deck vs. chatty videos, and wanting to make more of chatty vs. just deck-focused, but deck-focused videos tend to be easier to execute & jump into. Your chats have been so engaging. It's really cozy just listening to 2 pals pal-ing it up 😂 Love all of these chats we have on tarottube, it's so different from short/snappy content on so many other niches of youtube. I'm completely with you about "balancing...the novelty versus routine and structure" -- that's such a brilliant way to put it. This video is making me intensely wish there was an audio comment feature on TH-cam so I could just record all the things I'm saying out loud while watching right now😆 but alas, a running list will do instead: 1. someone should do a study on the makeup youtube to witch/occult youtube to tarot youtube special interest pipeline because I had the same exact trajectory 2. totally understand the uncomfy-ness you feel around the size of your collection. if you haven't watched/seen yet, i HIGHLY recommend the new PBS kids show Carl the Collector (all the episodes are free on their website!) it really kicked off a lot of healing for me around my collecting as it relates to autism! 3. making a watch later playlist of everyones monthly wrap-ups is SO genius!! I need to do that!! 4. my only hot tip for making monthly reflection video planning easier is that before i just switched to a vlog mode i had a photo album on my phone for the month. anytime i had a thought of "oh i need to talk about this in my reflection video" id snap a quick picture and save it to that album! 5. *hooded kermit the frog meme* post the William Blake Tarot video so I can watch!!😆 6. demand avoidance with click bait is so real!! same!!

Yes please, I want to see how you track the decks you use. I have never really tracked a chart of decks used or cards pulled (though there was one year where I noticed the Knight of Pentacles turned up so often, it felt like it was stalking me). I'm really sorry to hear you lost a beloved animal last year, the appropriate amount of grief is the amount you feel, there's no right or wrong (and pets are family!). I'm so happy that the advent helped you start working with the deck. Haha, I know what you mean about A Year in the Wildwood, this year will be my third year picking it up, I hope I complete it this year (hello ADHD). So tickled for my work to be included in your response to your fave tarot accessory! I got 78 Acts of Liberation and Tarot for the Hard Work for Christmas, now I just need to summon the wherewithal to actually read. I'm looking forward to getting to them though. x

If I had the money I would send you his whole catalog 🤣 Those pen drawings look SO amazing and I love hearing that you really enjoyed it. Wholly agree with what you said about 78 Acts! I read a post somewhere - which I can't find again, unfortunately - about how our growth should help others. (It was likely in the context of decolonizing our minds, too.) It reminded me of how all of the growth I've gone through is made possible because of the growth of everyone else around me, and before me, the people I choose to take influence from. And I want to share my growth and findings so that it can help others as well. Anyway, I have Tarot for the Hard Work but haven't read it yet... I'll give 78 Acts a try this year too, now that you mention it!

I also process better when I talk out loud! That's why us babbly folks are making videos, huh! 😆 I totally felt the 8 and 9 of Swords re: being neurodivergent. It's so stressful moving through a world that isn't built with us in mind and isn't forgiving until we ask for -- or demand -- accommodations. And also stressful to work through things without even realizing we're working against our neurotype! I also wholly agree with what Satu said about not wishing anyone told her anything about tarot when she first started. Even though it's a lot to sift through resources that don't work for us, it's so joyful when we do find what works!
