Pioneer Park Playground — Drone Flight At Dawn
Pioneer Park is a 44-acre historical theme park located in Fairbanks, Alaska. The playground is unused at 7 a.m. and that's when I flew my DJI Avata 2 drone. It's a small acrobatic drone capable quick movement and navigating in tight spaces. Enjoy.

Total Solar Eclipse Time-lapse
มุมมอง 2377 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was a spectacular celestial event! To make this time-lapse movie of a total eclipse, I placed dozens of individual photos on a video timeline. The eclipse lasted 2.5 hours (when the moon was partially covering the sun). Totality (the moon entirely blocking the sun) lasted 4 minutes. A ring of light, corona, and solar flares were revealed during totality. Chesterland, Ohio. April 8, 2024. E...
Northern Lights - Fairbanks, Alaska
มุมมอง 1137 หลายเดือนก่อน
Northern Lights Video - These aurora scenes are speeded up about 400-800% to add interest, and it's a little grainy (an excuse to buy a new camera?). Fairbanks, Alaska. Enjoy.
Early Spring Thaw - Chena River state Recreation Area
มุมมอง 467 หลายเดือนก่อน
There is open water in the Chena River state Recreation Area (April). Rivers are thawing. This beautiful state park is only 45 minutes east of Fairbanks, Alaska. And of course, I enjoyed flying my drone in warmer weather. Enjoy.
Solar Panels on my Cabins in Fairbanks, Alaska
มุมมอง 383ปีที่แล้ว
I built these A-frame solar cabins in Fairbanks, Alaska. Each cabin has a 30-panel solar array that generates five kilowatts of clean reliable solar electricity. These solar panels produce more power than each household uses annually. In addition, the walls are super-insulated and 14-inches thick. The occupants stay toasty warm inside even when it's 60 degrees below zero (F) outside. I’m proud ...

Amazing Northern Lights - The Sky Exploding in Color

My Best Aurora Video - Early this morning the northern lights were fast moving, vivid colorful streams of light in the sky. This video is two minutes long, raw, real-time, and unedited. Shot in 4K @ 30 frames/second. I encourage you to enlarge this video full-screen to see the delicate details and motion. It was amazing to see. Auroras like this are rare and exciting. Northern Lights - Spectacular Flowing Ribbons of Light in 4K Video
มุมมอง 3043 ปีที่แล้ว
The Northern Lights fill the sky with colorful flowing ribbons of light. Fairbanks, Alaska (March 6, 2021). The aurora was spectacular and bright enough to shoot real-time, high-definition 4K video. Photographer's Notebook: Canon R5 camera. Canon lens f/1.4. The large 4K video format made it possible to pan and zoom using Adobe Premier Pro. Enjoy!
Amazing Colorful Northern Lights

Amazing and colorful Aurora - The Northern Lights ebb and flow in the sky, and look like a colorful river of light high above earth. I am fortunate to experience such a strong Aurora on a clear sky night (and have camera equipment to record it). This video has not been enhanced. This is how it looked in the sky! Fairbanks, Alaska. Video details: Canon R5 camera. Lens 24mm @ f/1.4mm. ISO 8000 at...

Hello depression
I’ve never met a flat earthier irl.
I've lived my entire life at 20 degrees latitude and going through winters in Connecticut and Massachusetts gave me light-deprivation depression. I don't think I could deal with winter in Fairbanks.

Hi Eric, I live in Ester dome and am thinking about the same thing. Is it possible to chat in person ?
That‘s where I wanna live!
that’s enough daylight for you 💀
Awesome 👏
super nice...I have a lot of ptarmigan footage but nothing so clean and closeup.
I give this a glowing review.
Really cool. I always wondered what this was like.
Are those 300 watt panels?
this doesnt appear as dark and bleak as some people make the winters sound. most people make it sound like its pitch black outside for 85% of the day in winter.
🎉🎉happy new yaer!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Not new year It’s before 4 years video
Thanks for posting this. I've been showing my students a photo taken in Fairbanks on the solstice, but now I have this to show them.

Good video
I like how the sun is basically just walking by
And how big is the battery bank? It's not sunny everyday in Alaska.
The cabins are on the grid and all solar-generated electricity is sold to the utility company. The occupants have a separate meter for the electricity they purchase from the utility. Having the tenants pay for their electricity encourages conservation.
Looks good! You found a way to make this work in an extreme environment.
Ugly design, but if the energy performance is as you say...that is very impressive.
need a blueprint for these cabins....
thinking this would work in the Philippine islands for cooling in the heat there, any chance to obtain building plans for the cabins (though I think I could wing it if I had to)?
Norway winter
Eric muehling, well now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a very long long time. Beautiful videos Eric. Nice work. You used to know me as McGhie, when working at the news miner back in the day. I hope life has blessed you.😊
what'up~yu created fantastic uploading- ))
Very pretty image and cool music
I want to experience this so bad, cus where I'm from it is a tropical weather so i see the sun a lot.
I wonder how the shortwave reception is there during those long evening hours
Sunrise around 10:30am or 10:30 Sunset around 2:30pm or 14:30
Same as in central Norway, but Fairbanks has much colder winters.

Nice! How do they work in the winter?
Very little electricity is produced November through February. The days are short and the sun is low on the horizon in the winter.
My dream going here
Just amazing

Uhm why?
.Brasil é privilegiado por ter o sol bem a cima das nossas cabeças ❤️
Last winter I was at Helsinki airport for like 12 hours and it was like this. Very strange day as it looked like sunset all day.
I just never understood that if the earth is moving, and the sun is stalemate. How can the height of the sun clearly be lowering. For that to happen we have to be moving upward at least a bit, though the earth doesn’t rise, it move clockwise around the sun
It's the fact that the earth is rotating. The reason it only moves left to right here is because Alaska is high up in the northern hemisphere, and it's in winter so the north pole is tilted away from the sun.
@@Lauren-se5bu The Earth is not a sphere and has neither axial nor orbital movement, which could be measured using an interferometer. Rotation exists, but it is not the earth that rotates, thats why you dont feel any movement. The Sun is not the center of the planetary arrangements. Its moving above us.
@@johnpurefeeling6258 Basic geometry proves the Sun would never set on a flatearth and would not match what we observe. Give It up.
Was this recorded in December of 2022?
Yes.
@@ImaginingImpact When in December of 2022? The 22nd?
@@guillyfreeways2007 Sequence shot December 20, 2022. Just 30 seconds difference from the actual solstice on Dec. 21. Close enough to call this a solstice video, I think.
