Hola, I'm currently working on different yak ranches in Colorado. Learning about yaks, training them and looking forward to hiking with them all over the US. I don't know anything about yaks or training an animal, but I'm out here figuring it out along the way. Thank you for your support.

I'm editing videos, working part-time to eat and fund my trip, training animals which I've never done before, working for trade or stay and living out of my car to help with expenses. Ur worry'in me, walking through that snake infested stuff. I work in the desert, & I've seen may snakes hiding under that hay like stuff u just walked through to unlock gate. I've had many close calls. They blend in so well, u can barely see em. Please be careful! I've subscribed to ur journey.
There are LOADS of Scorpions in the desert & snakes of course. Maybe he got a little sting or bite from non venamous? PS there can also be Cactus thorns in the dirt in general. The prickley pear behind him has thorns, but it also has a ton of invisible thorns. Just try'in to help ya troubleshoot. But maybe ur from a Desert. Just throw'in possibilities out there. Enjoy the Journey!

what kind of halters do you use?
I was using Hamilton halters for cattle. Used those for awhile but then found out about the rope halters for cattle use and I much prefer them now because they put pressure on their chin to get their head up for halter training verses the Hamilton halter puts pressure on the back of the head and that tends to make them not want to move forward as much. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/weaver-leather-rope-halter-cow
