      he used OD319 Forest Green, but in reality the M38A1 only came out in Federal Standard 24087 OD paint, slightly browner.

    M38 became an A1 to make way for the new F head Hurricane engine thats why they change the hood to a much taller rounded hood. I don’t have a clue why your M38 is still go Devil engine?

    • @rajseattle
      @rajseattle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a replacement engine, probably by the School District that bought it from military surplus for a snowplow! I might put the period correct engine in sometime in the future, however, I kind of like the idea that it has a touch of the WWII in her.

      Not now, We like the touch all there campaigns. It represents WWII, Korea and Vietnam. WWII for the GoDevil engine, Korea as a 1952 vintage, and Vietnam because SeaBee Battalion 74 owned the Jeep and it was recommissioned for the Vietnam war.

      Actually, I made it from a picture. Used a sheet of label paper, printed the image and cut it out. Carefully applied the label stencil to the jeep and sprayed it. Did the same with the hood numbers and other markings.

      Oh no, they had all the variants. This may have had a canvas top. It was stationed out of Gulfport Mississipi so it had no need for an Artic top. We're adding a 50 Cal this Spring for that extreme military look!
