Walking on Water
As we close out 2024, we reflect on a big year of advances and changes. In many ways, it feels as though we've been walking on water for the past 24 years, endeavoring to keep our eyes on the Lord. What we are doing, humanly speaking, is impossible for a company of our size.
Yet, as we continue to move forward and walk on the waters of impossibility, my prayer is that we will not, like Peter, be overtaken by the fear of unbelief, or should I say, disbelief that we could or even should have as our goal something as audacious as "every sermon in every language." If we're serious about this objective, it will require of us to get out of our comfort zone, get out of the boat, and take the necessary steps of faith to be where the Lord is in His mission throughout the world.

In the world of computers, it is never a good situation to have a single point of failure, or a single copy of data. However, the Bible talks a lot about the "four corners of the world" and it has long been our desire ...

I will add one more thing and that is that as I said before my Family was in the Cloth and Dyes Importing Business and Thomas Poyntz was an Englishman that owned a Cloth making Factory in Antwerp. So we most likely did business together. He lived in a Mansion east of London. So he was very likely a good friend of my Family. So my Family was probably involved in he giving William Tyndale refuge in his home he owned in Antwerp after a Death Warrant was issued by Henry VIII. Poyntz spent a great deal of his time in Antwerp and was in Antwerp at the time of Tyndale's capture. Poyntz was away at the time celebrating Easter and a friend of Tyndale had turned him in for the reward he and went over to Poyntz' home and lured Tyndale out so he could be captured by Police. However I read that the Thomas Matthew Bible was the fruition of 9 years of diligent work by my Grandfather. So that means he started working on it for 6 years before he went to Antwerp and was only there for one year when Tyndale was arrested. That means that my Grandfather was working on the Bible when he was a Professor at Oxford. I know there were actually five languages comprised in the Original Texts. What some of us great Theologians call the lingual hand of God. That is ancient Hebrew that was the Canaanite language, Chaldean, Mesopotamian [Babylonian] modern Hebrew [Aramaic] and Greek. To translate over 1000 pages into English from five different Languages would probably take nine years. In that time with no Concordances you would have to study all five languages and to be able to decipher the definition you would have to recognize language and the origin of each word in Bible. I know that from my 30 years of study myself. I have always had a strong desire to study the Word long before I researched my Ancestry and I myself am a respected Theologian. And I realize it was in my DNA. But my Grandfather's great accomplishment was a long dedicated amazing effort. This is a great video. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I wanted to add this that the propaganda that is put out makes it sound like he was a Chaplain at some Dormitory for workers. Here is the truth. My 17th Great Grandfather John Fitz Rogers was a very wealthy man. He owned 17 Mansions throughout Southern England. He had 7 of those were Avowments to the Church. Which means he allowed Priests of Churches all over Southern England to live in 7 of his Manors for free. He owned a very prosperous business that imported cloth from Antwerp, Belgium and expensive dyes for clothing manufacturers. He served in Parliament a number of years. The only Catholic Church in Antwerp was Cathedral of Our Lady. So that is most likely where my Grandfather was the Priest. This propaganda makes him sound like he was some small time Priests. The reason that my Grandfather even wanted to go to Antwerp was our family had some very influential friends there. Just take a look at the Church that he was the Priest at. Antwerp was and is a very astute wealthy City and is now has a Gem exchange. That Church today has a capacity of 25,000 people and was likely close to that then.

I am the 12th Great Grandson of John Rogers and I have done an exhaustive study. I am not going to Dishonor William Tyndale. But I will add this and that is that John Rogers whose name in the era was Johannon Fitz Rogers and he was a Surname and Bloodline descendant of the Last Standing High King of Ireland. Most of the over accreditation to William Tyndale was done to steal the credit from an Irish Royal Descendant and give it to an Englishman, So they all 3 worked on the Translation and wording of the Bible. But I have evidence downloaded from 2 Sources that say that Myles Coverdale could not read nor write even one word of either Hebrew or Greek. His expertise was he was a writer of Prose, meaning he would assist in wording the Scriptures to be worded in a more Poetic and Beautiful passage. And if you listen to what you said John Rogers arrived in 1534 and Tyndale was arrested in 1535. So the team worked together for only one year when Tyndale was arrested and imprisoned and eventually executed by tying him to a stake and strangling him to death with a cord and then burning his body. I have again a Source that says that when Tyndale was arrested they had only completed the first 14 Books of the Old Testament. And the small sections of the New Testament. He could not read nor write Greek. But John Rogers studied Greek at Cambridge and most likely taught it at Oxford at the College of Cardinals and most likely did Greek to English Translations in his lectures there. It was a Theological School within Oxford. William Tyndale had a warrant for denying Henry VIII and annulment. William Tyndale, Thomas More and Cardinal Wolsey were the Papal Council that along with messages from the Pope refused his annulment from Catherine of Aragon and all 3 died for their decision, Thomas More was beheaded and Cardinal Wolsey who was the Head of the Catholic Church and the College of Cardinals at Oxford. John Rogers was Ordained as a Priest at Oxford by Cardinal Wolsey. He died of what many to believe was a self poisoning en-route to London to be beheaded. Once my Grandfather left England he never returned until 1548 when King Edward the son of Henry VIII assured him of his safety. He left Antwerp with his wife and moved to Germany where he was a Professor at the top Theological University in all of Europe at that time Wittenberg University. He was Matriculated there and Professed there. He also was the Priest at a nearby Catholic Church. So he could read write and speak 6 languages including French as he did in Antwerp, English, German, Latin, a requirement within the Catholic Church to become a Priest, and Hebrew and Greek. So the information you are repeating is Propaganda to belittle and defame an Irish Descendant of the Last High King and falsely place with an Englishman. They have changed records, produced false records, attacked his ancestry and the records of his descendants. You have believed many lies and propaganda. William Tyndale never presented any Bible to anyone and especially not to England. Neither did Myles Coverdale. What Myles Coverdale did do was stab my Grandfather in the back by saying he did a revision of the Thomas Matthew Bible and helped King Henry VIII steal it by coming out with a revision of my Grandfather's, calling it The Great Bible in 1539 only 2 years after the Thomas Matthew Bible was Authorized as the Official Bible of England in 1537. The name Thomas Matthew Bible is named for his Grandfather Thomas Matthew Rogers of Bradford on Avon 1435 - 1489. As far as I know my Grandfather did not present the Thomas Matthew Bible to England, he may have sent Myles Coverdale. The Thomas Matthew Bibles were even Printed by my Family's Print Shop that was owned by John Rogers' wife Adriana's Uncle Jacobus Van Meteren. He also paid for the paper and the ink. But I believe they printed and sold the Bibles to England and in 1540 he and his wife moved to Germany where he taught Theology and was a Priest at a nearby Cathedral. But he also did not ever denounce the Catholic Church only said that he believed that Jesus was the Head of the Church and not the Pope or the King. He was Martyred because Queen Mary, Bloody Mary was converting England back to Catholicism and she blamed his and all of the Priests of the Church and knew it was her Father that made England Protestant. My Grandfather was the Head Priest at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, a Catholic Church, and was giving a Sermon at St. Paul's Cross in the Garden Sanctuary an outside Pulpit, when he was arrested. I do appreciate the kind words and the Honors you give to my Grandfather. But to denounce any Religion and especially another Christian Religion is an act of evil in itself. It causes hatred and division among Christians. My Grandfather did not do it and neither do I, and I honor all denominations of Christianity and have learned some great wisdom's from other Religions as well. If I have Doctrinal issues I do not allow that from not respecting their Faith. Love Thy Neighbor. But please don't repeat propaganda. William Tyndale never even had a Church or was a Priest nor did he teach or Profess Greek or Hebrew at any University that I know of and my Grandfather did at two of the most respected Theological Universities of his time. And while they were translating, editing and constructing the Thomas Matthew Bible that had a Rogers name attached to it, my Grandfather was the Priest of the Church that the work was done at not William Tyndale. And it was his Family that Printed and sold the Bibles out of their Shop, again not Tyndale's. The rest is lies and propaganda. Thank You Again. James L. Rogers
