Better late than never? Things were made to be a little goofy on purpose this time. The background image made me laugh so I didn't bother editing it.

Man really sounds like a passionate psychopath 😮😂
Awesome video! You did an excellent job with the writing and the voice acting sounded very natural and real. Great job!! Looking forward to more of your content! Thanks for posting!
This was really good, but damn he’s gonna kill us 😢
Don't worry, I love you guys. ❤
I made this script myself. It's much shorter due to me being a bit inexperienced with writing. I'm hoping that it's satisfactory.
You have an amazing acting voice keep this up and your channel will grow ❤
@@kkaylanb662 thank you for the kind words
love you ❤
So your acting is kinda a w e s o m e-
Damn the voice 🤌🤌😩
Damn, I really love audio RP, but I dont know a lot of audio creators who have such a nice voice with such acting skills. Could you please do more RP audios ? 😶
I plan on recording another tomorrow if I have the time.
got this on my feed and its a quite interesting podcast i liked the topics since its stuff i dont usually listen to
Happy to have you here.

Oh my gosh You did amazing!! Thank you for filling my script!!
Thank you for giving me the privilege of recording this.
I had to re-upload. Sorry about the second notification!
You did such an incredible job! I'm truly impressed! Thank you for this lovely fill! ❤ Can't wait to see more of your work!
Your praise means a lot.
DEVIL this is literally so good what the heck!!
The MKE600 sounds more muffled, but maybe I'm biased because I've been using the AT875R for 4 years now and prefer it over the Synco D2 that's my back up. The only thing I have a problem with on the AT is it picks up my sharp sibilance pretty heavily, which makes editing such a biyatch 50% of the time. I've tried so many de-essers, but because I compete with machines these days I try to process as little as possible. Aiming it at my nose instead of throat helps, but then I lose some of my toasty signature lows.
@@mamandapanda185 I agree on the MKE sounding more muffled. It does not like being closer than 12" away from the subject. Thing gets muddy real quick compared to the at875r. I feel it sounds more natural compared to the AT but only in it's ideal position. of being further away. I naturally have a harsh "Shhh" sound to my sibilance and deal with the same issues with the AT875R. Clip gain has always been my usual method of de-essing with processors being there to tame harshness. I often use a combo of Pro DS on the DX track and soothe 2 followed by waves sibilance on the bus. I'm also utilizing dynamic EQ as my first but processor with a bunch of dynamic bands to control the dialogue as a whole.
@@DevilBirb Thanks for the reply! That seems like a lot of processing. Did you do that on this video? I have Soothe2. Even the 'transparent de-esser' seems to make everything sound too processed. Maybe I have the wrong settings. I cannot find a video on its use for sibilance, specifically.
@@DevilBirb Also, what distance from the mic have you found is sweetest for the AT875R?
@mamandapanda185 all audio in the video is raw. It's a lot of steps of processing but they are all very light touches.
@mamandapanda185 I keep mine between 5" - 8" away usually.
😳 woag
Thank you for watching! I honestly didn't expect anyone to give a crap about it. It warms my little heart to see people actually supporting it.
You sound like a villain! I love this!
wow! can't wait to see what else you put out! wish you the best of luck!
Excited to see where you go with this! And take the quote marks around “VA” in the description! Just because you’re still learning how to act doesn’t mean you’re not an actor. :p
I want it to be known that this is just a method I came up with for those unfamiliar with processing dialogue. There are a few things I would do a bit differently for myself but that would be a bit too advanced than what I wanted here.
I really need to work on my vocal crutches.
Stream starts at 7:40 for anyone watching after the live
Thank you. It took me a mintue to stop coughing after I went live.
@DevilBirb no worries! 👍
obs audio breaks all the time...
I really enjoyed listening to this during the start of my work day. It’s cool to begin learning what goes into the work you do and how your brain works- you’re a funny dude, looking forward to more
Great first episode :D
DDLC starts at 18min.
1:04:39 bookmark for myself 🙇
I want to clear one thing up since my tired dumb brain misspoke around that timestamp. Output converters are responsible for moving audio out of your PC. It doesn't work in series like I mentioned in the stream. This was a mistake on my part so I apologize for that.
@@DevilBirb dw abt it ! a lot was spoken about, it's understandable lolol, but thank you for the clarifying 🙇 ! is what you explained on the stream for the output/input only pertaining to the input then ?
There's preamp, input converter, and output converter. Input converter converts acoustic energy to electronic signal and output does the reverse. It's honestly not even an important thing to discuss since audio interfaces at that price point are going to be close enough in quality that 90% of the time it doesn't effect much.
@@DevilBirb ohh i see thank you 🙇 ! i was trying to buy one a while ago for my instrument, but i remember being so confused on how everything worked then. being able to hear it again, and from a new person as well, was very helpful and i feel i have more direction now. even if it may not be the most important thing to talk about, i feel it gives more of an understanding as to the "why" , which i greatly appreciate lol 🙇 thank you again !
(PLEASE READ FOR SOME CORRECTIONS ON THINGS!) I am a failure. There was a plosive in the beginning ;-;. My current setting is based around mixing so it doesn't allow me space to properly space my pop filter. I want to clear something up that I dumb brained in the stream. Me doing this whole stream tired was probably a bad idea. I said that output converters happened in series with input converters. That is absolutely wrong and I am honestly embarrassed that I even said it. Output converters are what handles audio coming out of your pc and not taking part of the input. My explanation of phase cancelation and constructive interference is also poor in this. Honestly thinking of deleting this and redoing it to fix some things that I feel could have been said better. I did this while being super tired to that was probably a mistake. The core information is all you realistically need since those tiny details are me just being a nerd.
I will try and add more information to the next video. Treated room, my educated opinion, and any extra info I feel is important. I absolutely hate videos that fumble around the products and don't just give me the content I clicked for. This sort of info will go at the very end and the general information like signal chain will remain in the beginning. Also no begging for subscribers and definitely not in a way that disrupts the video.
Thanks for this test I’ve been looking for videos on the 875 and haven’t found much thanks so much for posting this
The at875r is my go to microphone and has been for about 2 years. The only time I swap it out is to use my Rode NT1. The MKE600 is my go to foley mic currently.
@@DevilBirb that’s very interesting information. You know I have both Mics. I have the 875 and I also have the 416. And honestly honestly, they almost sound identical. It’s crazy how good the 875 is. In terms of dialogue capture which do you think sounds better the 600 or the 875?
It depends on the content type. For the in your face commercial sound I would pick the at875r. It handles proximity in a more pleasing way. The MKE600 can sound very muddy in that proximity zone and will take a bit more processing. If you want punchy then get the at875r but if you want natural and can afford the extra space to back off of the mic then go for the MKE600.
thansk for this short and quick comparision, are you recording indoor in a treated env? which one do you prefer?
I'm recording in my treated studio mix room. My preference will change for the sound I'd want for a production. The at875r is a bit punchier and handles lots of compression pretty well. So if you want that commercial sound then I'd recommend it over the mke600. The MKE600 offers a way more natural sound but the proximity effect can get really muddy sounding. For booming about 2 or 3 feet away I would pick the mke600 and for VO with the mic 4"-8" from my mouth I'd pick the at875r.
@@DevilBirb Thanks since I plan to use it for indoor podcasting I guess I would use the AT then.
cannot believe I missed this
I'm not a professional VA so please excuse my mediocrity.
Nah, give yourself some credit man, straight to the point comparison Good job!
@@KaiZenAmen Thank you for the kind comment.
Yes, straight to the point is always best
'Promo SM' 😆
So I made a little fart sound at the end as a joke but the denoiser I had on while recording slammed down on it.
