I do believe AI could get so advanced, that it could indeed do what we perceive as God could. It is the pinnicle of human invention, and it will be the last invention when AI is fully matured. It will give us a utopia, or will destroy us, this will happen eventually, because this technology will continue to be improved upon, and it will not stop improving. If you want to be okay when this happens, I highly suggest to get in touch with your emotional intelligence, and empathy, because many people will need comforting and reassuring that everything will be okay.
