Which pack on etsy is for guppies? Thanks
Hey there! For guppies I highly recommend my Live barrier plant package!
What do you suggest aqua plants for beginners?
So, this is a great question. Here’s a straightforward list. Although if you are looking to purchase some I’d be happy to create a package of what I think your tank needs would fit. 1. Hygrophila Difformis 2. Hygrophila Roservang 3. Hygrophila Rubra 4. Hygrophila Purple 5. Hygrophila Tiger 6. Rotala OJ 7. Pogostemon Octopus 8. AR 9. Any persicaria species 10. Pearlweed Those are some of the ones I can recommend off the top of my head. It really depends on the set up of the tank. Since certain species are hard to grow with certain requirements
Definitely needed to see this!!!! I'm a visual person and this would help me so much more than google!
Awesome!!! I’m so glad i could help! I agree I’m more visual when it comes to aquascapes so seeing this was huge!
Accidentally came across one of your listings on ebay, which led me to your website, which led me here. I love how your video is to the point. I'm a beginner with fish/aquariums and "to the point" videos/info is just what I needed! I currently have a tangerine koi betta in a 10gal tank with gravel and artificial plants for now. I'm excited to start planting my 20 gal tank, cycling, and adding fish to it as well!
Awesome!! I’m glad I did it too! Sounds like an awesome plan! I’d love to see pictures once it’s set up!
this gave me an idea, thank you^^
How do you trim it , every time I trim rotala it melts and die and for that reason I am scared to trim it . Maybe there is known hight or specific way i dnno
I’d say there’s probably an issue with lighting or nutrients. Rotala Walichii can be trimmed just like any other stem plant. Although it’s more finicky and sensitive to stuff like PH, Amount of light and fertilization.
and it's not dissimilar to your hair
Facts!
Cute guy 😊
Hey man I got some from ebay from yourself how can we chat brother 🤙🏻
Hey David! We can chat either through eBay, my website, Etsy or on here! Or would you like to call?
Great stuff dude, I am researching a 75gal tank build and this is super helpful!
Awesome!! I’m happy you liked it!
nice, get a 5ml syringe man. its perfect for test & streamlines the process. also good for prime dosing & other stuff.
I do second this^^^ it’s great for getting algae in between glass and substrate.
Without co2 growing this plant
You can grow Riccia without Co2 Yes!
So glad i clicked on this video i get so much algae
Awesome!! I’m glad I could help!!
Thia is underrated you even got a comment from Mr hillbilly
u shud be in movies...
Thank you!
I’m in georgetown. What’s the name of this creek? I need to go!
So this creek is located in Sun city, near Barry creek.
What happens when algae grows in it
Awesome question, so if algae occurs in it, I suggest identifying which algae is occurring. Then I would treat the tank accordingly to that algae. For instance if it’s hair algae, I’d cut back on lighting and ferts. It also depends on the type as mentioned because if it’s BBA algae it may be impossible to remove.
🎉
I just got it, but does it need water flow, potassium fert or anything in general ? Got it from LFS who bagged it dry, and gave it to me, after an hour drive, some leaves had started yellowing and some melted... I dont know what to do i have sponge filter rn, so i can add HOB if it does need flow, but I'm gonna lose it if this plant dies 😭
Imo, it’s not 100% necessary for flow. The only thing I would want to have for sure is High light and a great nutrient to ch substrate. As for your LFS man, they shouldn’t have done that. I’ve had the same thing happen to me a few times since I’ve lived in super rural places. It’s always frustrating. This is also why I throw in Wet paper towels in within my plants upon shipping.
My Cory’s love these things called algae wafers it’s a sinking vegetable rich disc and it’s ideal for most bottom feeding herbivores
I have repeatedly tried this technique but I have corydoras and frogs that loosen the stems and they always end up floating on the top. Any suggestions for weighting them would be awesome!
So if this is the case, I recommend purchasing some plant weights. I would bundle several stems together and wrap them with the weight. I would then bury as deep as possible. That should prevent cories or frogs from being able to bring them back up.
Thank u my snail needed some food while waiting for algae to grow!
When setting up a dirted tank😊, I like to add one inch of dirt and 2 inches of sand or more on top. Also try to soak the dirt really well so you get no air bubbles that make the water cloudy. Love the content
My favorite place on earth!!
Getting ready order from u for my guppies tank, I never raised shrimp..do they work well with guppies This will be my first planted tank...although I raised guppies for years
So doing a lot of research before moving from 10 gallon to a 30 gallon.
My guppies ate all 12 of my shrimps :(
Is it edible for humans or animals?
ليش بتديون!!!
He didn’t tell you????? Must not be any of your business
I love my corys ❤ fun fish to watch
Love it🤩
Setting up my first planted/dirted tank. 40 gallon breeder with some led lights off Amazon. I plan on keeping German blue rams, Apistogrammas, tetras and rasboras so the temps will be like 82 degrees. Can you suggest one if your plant packages that will fill out the tank nicely? Great videos by the way. You have a new subscriber and future customer.
Sweet! For a 40 Gallon tank I highly recommend going with the www.ebay.com/itm/404672450506?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ltt-6r8nrw-&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=ltt-6r8nrw-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY This should fill up your 40 Gallon pretty densely. I’d be happy to only throw in plants that will tolerate those temps! Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy the content and thank you!
Keep uploading my friend 👏🏻👏🏻
Nice choice on the colors and textures!
Here today thank you so much for your recommendation, just found your channel going to subscribe! 👍
I do not see your place to buy these as you state.

Love the build by the way! ❤
Nice video and congrats on 2,500 subs
Thank you! Although I haven’t hit 2.5k Yet 😂
I believe the house you were staying at is the same house we have rented out my whole life
No way! Yeah, that house has been there for quite some time. I rented it about 4 years ago as well as this trip.
@@oliversaquatics yup family friends of ours used to own it so we would go down all the time but now we just rent it out once a year
Are nubias a type of stem plant that this would work with?
No, anubias are tubers.
@@snarkysnoo Is there a tuber propagation video you have that I should look for? 😁
I have a 20g tank with such optimal snail conditions that I remove about a thousand, yes, ONE THOUSAND, ramshorns per week, mostly very small, to take to the fish store. They use them as food for their puffers and whatever other fish will eat them. And that's just from one tank. If you give them the perfect conditions and unlimited food, they will completely take over everything! Lately I've been letting the reds one stay in order to convert the tank to all reds, but now I'm starting to get some pinks as well. Wheee!!! But then I have another tank with conditions not so good for ramshorns, really just because the pH is too low (around 6.5), and while they still lay tons of eggsacks, none of the eggsacks ever hatch out. Literally not one single eggsack has hatched in that tank in the year and a half it's been running. Since the only real difference between this tank and the 20g that produces a harvest of a thousand per week is the pH (6.5 vs. 7.2), that seemingly must be the limiting factor. Of course, if you do have a ramshorn infestation, don't go changing the pH in the tank, your other critters in that same tank may not do well with a big swing in pH, so better to find any other solution.
Their is a Dutch girl who would sail around the world in her Guppie sailship.
I love panda guppies… I have 7 of them carefully selected as black and blue and healthy untouched vins and beautiful silver body; what I have noticed, they’re very different from regular guppies; in my 5G tank, they swim in a schol while my other 3 colour guppies were too busy chasing each other.. I have them in a different tank and all is good now
Woah! That is cool. I’ve never kept pandas but sounds like I should! Have you kept Koi guppies?
@@oliversaquatics but you have them in one of your tanks in de video .. though yours but one in the video is rather bland blue/greyish; maybe they colour up as they grow older but I have a local fish store that selects their stock carefully, they sell salt water fish too - expensive chic one in Paris but alas .. I love Panda guppies, in my hanging garden creation, made all roots myself for weeks .. and I added blue shrimps and am still looking for a centerpiece for that tank
Some of the clips I borrowed from my LFS although it sounds like I’ll be getting some soon
@@oliversaquatics they are the most playfully fun guppy characters that turn purple blue in a beautiful dimmed white light .. I love them
@@oliversaquatics what I also find interesting about them is that they sleep on their own secrtion of a tank, I see each has his own bedroom within the tank and stays in it when going to sleep… also they mess up with my plata sand aquascape; they pick black crystal from my Sulawesi island section and scouring them everywhere is like their favourite game
As a guppy keeper myself, I do think all 3 of these apply to most fish not just guppies 😂 But yeah for a new fish keeper, these are very important basics to know
Agreed, Lol this is why I got a little mixed up in Tip two 😂😂
When I sprinkled cinnonmon powder on my floor carpet how long does it last to repel insects even mice rodents too ?
What light do you recommend?
It all depends on your budget! I recommend Any light on the Chihiros Line as far as high tech goes. For cheaper routes I recommend Fluval Sky, or Fluval Planted Pro.
Been wondering why i havent had any algae problems yet! My tank is a jungle 😂 i bought one of every plant i think lol
Exactly! The plants will destroy all forms of algae.
@oliversaquatics awesome, ty!!!! I learn alot of tips off your channel. It's a learning curve for me but I'm been obsessed with the plants & things have been going pretty smoothly at least 😆👍🏻
Awesome!!! I’m so glad I could help! Let’s just say when I was learning it wasn’t so smooth 😂
okayyy videographer
Good job. The production is really good! Make your way up and do some lake fishing, or cold rivers. Lots of options..Arkansas has a lot. Missouri too.
Why so spastic
You're really handsome. On a serious note, how would you oxygenate the water for fish without flow? Can you use a floater corral in a low flow section of your tank?
So, for tanks without a lot or any flow, I suggest adding a lot of plant load, or cut back on stocking. Honestly, there’s not many situations in the aquarium hobby where adding plants doesn’t solve the issue Lol.
