Sometimes late night hosts (and Ellen degeneres) are fucking creepy. I didn’t watch him so I never realized how inappropriate David letterman got with some of his guests. I watch Kelly Clarkson sometimes and she doesn’t seem to be weird about her guests, or make them admit secrets, or Lady and the Tramp her, etc. interviewing celebrities doesn’t have to be such a cringefest. And amen to Nikki. Not a fan, generally, but she stood her ground and made an impassioned plea for respecting everyone’s mental health. If we want to keep our favorite singers, actors, whatever, alive then we need to treat them like more than just pieces of meat that happen to be entertaining.

Watching these interviewers I found it quite shocking. If this is the mentality of Americans is it any wonder Trump was and possibly will be elected President. Compare all that to European interviewers such as Graham Norton and you will see how it's properly conducted. Truly disappointing disgusting.

David Letterman would so quickly get cancelled in this day and age, and rightfully so. I didn't know that he had such cringe moments. The attempted blackmail of him for sexual impropriety really looks like insight into his character, as opposed to character assassination.
