    Thanks so much, great tutorial!! Is there a way to slow down the rate at which the flickering happens? basically slowing down the noise transform rate?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can try to divide absTime.seconds by a higher number to make the noise go slower. Also try tweaking parameters in the feedbackloop. It is a bit hard to slow this network down I have to say. Good luck!

    Can you make this audioreactive?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In theory, you can make anything audioreactive in Touchdesigner. I plan on making a tutorial on how to generally do this. But for now I suggest stealing an audio reactivity chain from another video and dragging parameters on this network.

    Great tutorial, can we make it interactive with kinect?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In theory you can make everything interactive with a kinect, but I think it would be quite a different network to achieve this. This is currently just based on some simple noise which in itself is not directly tweakable with a kinect. You can try to follow kinect based tutorials and implement the first steps there and then give it the same post chain as I used. Hope this helps

    Hello, I'm enjoying the video. How should I change the count value at 0:41 in the video? I tried to make it similar in the count limit window, but the noise doesn't move like the video. How can I fix this??

    i doesn't let me link the count with noise sample somehow do u know what can be wrong?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Make sure you click the little star in the bottom right corner of the count. Then drag the value from the count on the noise TOP seed, click chop reference. This should do the trick. If it still doesn't work could you be more specific as to what exact step is not working? I'll try to help you out :) Daniël

    could you do the same with a geometry instead of abstract lines?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean. But you can absolutely play around with some kind of straight lines at the beginning of the network. But I have to say that the most of the effect is quite organic/abstract so tuning it to be geometric would alter it to a completely new network. However I am planning on making tutorials that focus more on geometric content. Let me know if you still have any questions! Daniël

    hi awesome tutorial! But what if I wanted to have a keyboard in function that inverts the colors when pressing? Is that possible?

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's absolutely possible! Place a keyboard in CHOP connect it to a Trigger CHOP. Set the peak length to 0, the delay to 0, the sustain level to 1 and then set the attack and release pars to whatever in / out fade time you want. Then grab a level TOP and put it at the end of the visual. Connect the trigger value to the "invert" par of the level. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Good luck!

      Yes, like @richycheetitos4525 said it limits the resolution. The max resolution for the non-commercial edition is 1280x1280. For a 16:9 image that gives you 1280x720 (aka 720p). For me this was enough to learn a lot!

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there, I'd recommend copying tutorials on things you find pretty and trying to understand each step. Then try changing values in the network. The cool thing is that if you change a value you get immediate visual response. So you make the radius of a circle bigger: it gets bigger. So copying and then adjusting networks. Do this until you know just a few operators well and try building something from scratch. A simple combination of operators would be a Circle TOP, feeding in to the first input of a displace TOP, and a Noise TOP feeding in to the second input of the displace TOP. Now go change some values until you understand what most do. I am playing around with the idea of making a super short beginner series. This will take me some time. In the meanwhile there is an absolutely wonderful beginner series by Elekktronaut! Good luck and keep asking questions! Cheers

    • @DanielSteenhoff
      @DanielSteenhoff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's actually a bit hard with this visual. The first thing you could try is to make the noise Top go slower. So divide absTime.seconds with a higher number. Then you could try changing some stuff in the feedback loop. Let me know if something works :)
