He’s trying to protect his guys. I disagree with his comments on the offensive coaches. It’s not that they forgot how to coach, but rather it’s sometimes best to move on with a different coordinator, which can turn out to be the best decision for everyone involved. He’s very loyal to his staff to a fault, but I can appreciate it. QB Hecklinski is the planned starter for next year which could potentially fix a lot of what we saw this year. This team was just a few key plays away from a bowl eligible record. But as he admitted they were sloppy in many ways, especially in 4th qtrs. That’s on the coaches. Dave needs to reset/relax a bit during the holidays and decompress. He’s still our coach and I’m a supporter.

@@brianmcculloch8796 why do university is sitting at nine and three isn’t because they’ve got more talent than us because they don’t. The reason why they’re sitting at nine and three and we’re sitting at four and eight is because they’re in the top five in the country for forcing teams to turn the ball over. Number two they hardly ever turn the ball over. Three they hardly ever kill themselves with costly penalties that is the difference right there. That is the teams we had when we were successful in going to bowl games prior to the past two seasons. We don’t have good enough talent to where we can go out in a game and turn the ball over a bunch of times, have a bunch of costly penalties. We’ve got to go out and play a near perfect game and order for us to win

Too many excuses and external finger pointing. While a hurry up team, we seem incapable defensively of playing against a hurry up offense. Our defensive schemes are too soft and our blitz packages anemic putting far too much pressure on our young DBs. We either over or under commit on almost every other down. I would also argue that on offense, at least 50% of our slow mesh plays go for a loss of yards, no yards, or less than three yards in almost every game. Opposing defenses have figured out how to play against it- just sit in your position for a beat as a linebacker or DL and then commit. The play calling on offense- going for it on 4th yet again when we could have easily gotten points via a field goal is inexcusable. This year's team like last year's needs to get the "easy" points at every opportunity given our FG kicking remains almost automatic under 40 yards and our QB play is streaky. I'm sorry to say it, but we're not good enough to go for first downs on 4th down if it's more than a yard or two. Not sure which season is more frustrating, this one or last and that's really saying something. Last year we allowed our QB to try to do too much and we're headed that direction this year as well. We collectively look lost and can do better. We have to in order to win any of our remaining games, but I remain optimistic we can get to six wins considering Miami's fall to GT, UNC's streaky play, and our Duke rivalry. But we need to play with intensity which we seem to lack when you watch teams like GT, Cal, etc. One more thing, if you want to see how David beats Goliath, watch the Georgia vs. Ole Miss game. They went for field goals at every opportunity, not leaving any points on the field. Their blitz package and D-line play was also superb, rarely using three on the line, but rather four. Light a fire and #JustGetPoints! Go Deacs!

Really like Bachmeier. We are lucky to have him at QB. He will do well in the NFL. We have so many weapons on offense this year at every level. We still have a chance to turn this season around and the NC State Game is living proof. We need to go to our best weapons early and more often- Morin, for one who has so few TDs this year and Claiborne who we barely used in the first half for some crazy reason and yet he had two CDs, 136 yards and was breaking ankles all day with chunk plays. He saved the game and we almost lost it by not incorporating him more. Use our incredible one-two punch RBs, use our TEs, keep spreading the ball around amongst are very talented WRs but make sure Morin gets more touches on critical downs when we need to pass to the middle of the field as he is the most shore handed. Otherwise, keep using the sidelines to our advantage on passing routes. On D for this week, Clemson is not 14 feet tall. They don't do transfers, but what they do is run a stubbornly disciplined offensive and defensive scheme as they all grew up in the program (like we used to do before NIL ruined college football). We need to start quick on offense and eliminate the explosive plays like we did against NC State. Like we did against NC State, we can live to another down by limiting them to FGs, vice TDs. We're playing at home, so let's pack the stadium and make sure we have a 12th man on offense and defense as result. Go Deacs!

And if Florida State leaves the ACC they’re going to steal in a weaker conference, then the SEC. I’m just saying he’s got a lot of pressure to win and stay competitive in the SEC year in year out with the other powerhouse teams in the SEC. I hope he stays for the rest of his coaching career at Ole Miss and I think it would be stupid to go to Florida State. I’m just saying in this day and time and coaching I wouldn’t put anything past anybody. Good luck the rest of the season.

This coach is a class act …never heard a coach just frankly state just a better team across the board …with no but firs or if only or if the refs etc . The faking injuries is a problem because it isn’t penalized and it is effective .He’s right -have the player sit for the series would help.

The first year Kiffin was at Ole Miss, opposing teams were flopping imjuries to slow down the tempo offense. Kiffin complained about it for 2 years, and said the rules needed changing about it. Nothing was done, so he said ok then. Like Saban, he gonna use it better than anyone else.
