Today was a sad day in Glasgow as we bid farewell to the G2 Subway stock. After 44 years of service, it’s time for them to retire. Don’t forget that car 128 is on display in the Riverside Museum at Partick. Hope you enjoy it!!

They were fast to go since the new ones came in december
a sad day indeed, the city won't be the same without them
These are soon to be replaced by the new subway trains that have entered service.

Car 111 was never a fan of it
last week 119 was taken out of service cos the doors completely failed and had to be opened manually, they really are getting old i think

In the 80's we done the sub crawl. I was blootered. I don't even remember West Street and I know that we got papped from at least two pubs. Great video.
P.S. the new trains look fantastic. I've not been on one yet, but did see one at Shields Road.

My Favorite Train Is The Class 380 Aswell

The new trains are much better. A bit ironic how the trains are accessible but the stations aren’t (at least from what I saw)
They really are. Only 2 stations on the Glasgow Subway are accessible Govan and St Enoch. Only I didn’t film them in this video. Thanks for watching 😊

No, I don’t think so. The extension to Newhaven was the only plan they had, and now that it’s built the won’t do anything more for the time being. 😊
