My mom, who died in '07, operated a preschool out of home in the 90s and I see so many of the decorations and teaching aids she used.

I always wondered why all the posters back in kindergarten had big smiles plastered on them. Also. Core memory unlocked.

Even as a child I viewed these as like fake alien people they looked really strange to me

Hi. I've actually worked at one of the first couple locations they opened. Imo one of the biggest issues were that the products were just straight up... bad. It wasn't enticing enough to compete against any other chain. When I worked we had tons of new customers willing to try it, but no returning customers. It was essentially McDonald's quality at Dutch Bros/Starbucks price. It really had potential but I don't think anyone would pay for those prices, especially when McDonalds even after the price hikes are still relatively lower priced than other chains.

I'm going to be honest, then as a child I was always uncomfortable with these things. But i am so happy that their creators are doing well for themselves :)

I was born in 94 and I remember this art style from the elementary school I went to in Kindergarten to Fifth grade.

I remember some of these posters & stickers being around my primary school here in Australia! This was about mid 00's

I had those throughout the 2010s hahah. I guess they are nostalgic for a 19 year old 😂

I had those posters all over our home school walls in early 2000s.

Lol! Am not even American and their art style looks familiar! Am Southeast Asian. My Mom got me an American geography workbook for the summer we went to the US for the first time. Pretty sure it was theirs!

I always loved it growing up. I felt a sense of ease seeing the colors and reading all of the text. Definitely added a few wrinkles to my brain.😅

As a kid, I never realized how the faces on all of the classroom decor, books, supplies, and all that looked the same. These 2 women were all of our childhoods.

i hated elementry school because these posters only told me to shut up and listen so i usually did the exact opposite intentionally

I love seeing people talk about this sorta stuff from there childhood like it’s a distant relic that will never be seen again, these posters are still being being used in schools 😭

Loved this video. I actually find that old style of elementary art comforting and nostalgic, and I'm glad that the story for the creators had a happy ending. All too often, it feels like anything that involves content creation meant for kids has some sort of dark, tragic ending, but this literally was just "The creators found success. Sold their business at its height. Now, are enjoying a comfortable life."
