You can buy the iPad version or the Affinity desktop. Or they have now a bundle where you can buy it all at a cheaper price. But the desktop version doesn't work on ipad.

Thanks for the video... funny thing is I can't seem to open the Macro window while in develop persona, so it doesn't really let me open a .CR2 file like you did here, just the developed version. I wonder if there was another update. My original goal was to just change the white balance for over 750 raw photos to 3000K... which I can do one by one using that number, but the only way to get to the macro window is to develop the photo, then the option to set the white balance to a specific number isn't available.

You need to tell people where you found the Refine image palette. It's under Select menu, at the bottom. also, where is the subtract menu you chose at 4:55?

This video was very helpful for me. I am a total beginner in editing software and chose Affinity over Adobe. I’ve been successful bulk loading, shooting and developing B&W film (because I’ve done it 50 yrs ago). I’m excited to try your workflow because it gets straight to the point to get a good result converting a negative for the first time. Many other videos from others bore me explaining all the buttons n switches for things I’m not knowledgeable about. This video uses auto corrections that should get me to a result and create confidence to explore more

Hi AlexTara Suggestion for future. Please use larger cursor and move cursor much slower and/or find a way to show viewers a zoomed in view of what you are clicking on. I had to watch your video multiple times to find the straighten tool in the crop tool. Now that I found this button I can find it again. I have not found yet where the tools are to do the auto adjustments. Last night I could not make my screen look like yours. Tonight I’m gonna click the Affinity logo and see if I can find where to do the invert and corrections. I have only used RAW files (because I’ve learned it’s best for editing) so Affinity directly opens in Develop Persona. I assumed that the Affinity logo was just a logo not realizing there might be functionality behind it. You might also explain a just a little more why you clicked the develop button before you went somewhere else. Finally it would be really helpful for us total beginners how to save the work and exit. Your video parallels a training technique I’ve used in the past. Here’s what doesn’t work “describe all the buttons and sliders, before I want to do a task”. Sessions are long boring and users attention wanders. It’s better to give users a task and see if they can figure out what to do. If they can then your software developers and GUI designers have done a good job. If there are problems with accomplishing the task then the users are engaged to be trained. IE: Task based training vs button and menu training.

You can send me a message on youtube if you need more info and we can jump into a zoom call for a few minutes to discuss it. I will definitely implement more of your suggestions in the next videos.
