Thanks again for posting the ORIGINAL e.p. of State Violence, State Control. Why the original mixes aren't available is beyond me. I HATE the remixes. Maybe you're an athiest, but, by posting these old skool punk classics, I believe you are truly doing The Lord's work. Thanks once again for posting and sharing!

Did Warsaw put this out as a 4-track EP as 'Joy Division' after putting this out as a Warsaw album. which is where these tracks come from? I guess they had decided to change the name but I have been a W/JD fanatic since 1978, and I have never seen this out as Joy Division single, obviously it exists but it is strange knowing it is from a Warsaw album, but bands change names and direction, as they did and this is the Primary Source historical proof. Wow!

I always liked this one - a bit amateurish, which is its charm. Always felt UK Soldier and No Place for You were stronger tracks than the A-side. The sleeve was made from the poorest quality paper imaginable. Proper DIY punk!

One of the best songs ever written. Police Truck is cool too, remains a live favourite.

Mere words can’t express the brilliance of this EP. Danger, humour, good musicianship. “Rejects!!”

Alternative has to be one of the most anthemic punks songs ever. Attack, I always found to be a tougher listen.

John Peel said something legendary like: “On the one hand, it’s so full of cliches. On the other, they’re all absolutely true.”

“War is a black hole to avoid…” once Discharge burst onto the scene with this aural assault, things were never the same again. I always liked Society’s Victim.

Jaw-droppingly brilliant. Always made the punk top 10 in readers’ polls you’d find in those glossy magazines.

3-5-0-1-2-5 Go!! Took ages to track this down back in the day, cos it was long out of print. About the only useful thing the CD revolution ever did?

All five songs are utter gems! If they bother with a tombstone for me, it will say “Always restrictions”.

Wonderful! And with the UK government threatening to bring back national service, this should become our anthem. Bet Wattie’s pissing himself!

Dogs of War is a fine song, with its anthemic chorus. Blown to Bits just said what we were thinking at the time. As another poster says, this live version of Blown to Bits is ferocious.

Without a doubt one of my favourite EPs from this era. Nidge (RIP) created a crunching dangerous guitar sound and above all, Blitz wrote cracking songs. Lyric to 45 Revolutions is spot on. Recall feeling gutted when Mackie left!

I always found this one a tougher listen than their signature “Complete Disorder”. Nevertheless, Distortion to Deafness is angry hardcore. You’ve Gotta be Someone I enjoy to this day, if only for its sheer banality!
